I've been using MFP daily for nearly 16 years to log my meals and to strive to improve my habits. I've had some dear friends that have been here for a long time and some that have been off and on. I miss the news feed where it was easy to check in with friends , see what fun things they were doing, etc. After 15 plus years of logging in every day I missed a day this week when my son and a couple of grandchildren were visiting. Recently I've made a lot of changes as I've been transitioning to a more plant based nutritional focus diet. I am soon to be 81 and my focus is not on weight as much as it is on health. I am still a little overweight for my height, since I've lost a bit over 3 inches in height. My focus is on health and living well for the remainder of my days however long that may be. I walk at least 1.5 miles every day and usually do an exercise class focusing on energy and strength twice a week with other seniors. My advice to all would be to not allow your focus to be strictly on how others access your appearance, but on how you feeling in your own body. Listen to your body. It is always telling you something. If you have cravings for unhealthy food choices it is telling you that your gut microbiome is out of balance. You can balance it and enjoy every day and eliminate a lot of anxiety and fill your heart with gratitude and joy. So fulfilling. Best wishes to everyone on your own personal journey. I can't really accurately list everything I eat, because when I create a delicious meal I don't always eat all of it . I do measure and weigh most everything I use in prep, but I'm primarily striving to learn to listen more closely to the messages I am receiving from my body, and so far I've had a productive and joyful conversation on this path.
