Outback Steakhouse: Salad, 1 glass of wine, a 10oz steak and broccoli (not even any bread with dinner!) = over 1,000 calories. Whaaat?

Me too! Third time around, losing 30+ pounds each time. :( Feel free to add me, my diary is open and I know I'm successful since this is my third time...LOL

I have lost about 25 so far - and when it's all said and done hope to lose another 18-20 (135 is my goal). Feel free to add me, I'm not perfect, but my diary is open and I try to be motivational. :)

This...and just for fun, ask her what mistakes she has made along the way that can prevent the same thing that happened to her, from happening to you.

I want to do this too! Where do I find more information?

Get up in the morning and put all your workout clothes on (whether you go to the gym or start off at home). Promise yourself that if after exercising for 10 minutes you still feel absolutely miserable about it, give yourself permission to quit.

Great job - and your posture seems even better! That's doing wonders for your back, I'm sure! :) Keep up the GREAT work!

Hey Mary! I am 39 and weight loss doesn't come easily for me either...we weren't blessed with that apparently. ;) But what does come to you, and should, is the recognition that you want to make changes in your life and your health - and be very happy that you know that and want to do something about it because most people…

I used to run at lunch, and I got into the habit of only washing my hair a few times a week (I know, it sounds gross, but after you quit washing it every day, you quit producing as much oil, so therefore, less dirtiness) plus I don't sweat. I would throw it up in a ponytail and just go with it. Congrats on your workplace…

Bump - i need to re-read some of these GREAT ideas! I love a sweet potato in the microwave, with half a can of chili with beans (or homemade), topped with some shredded cheddar cheese. Yummy!

Me too. Only I'm in the "overweight" category. I don't think I am when I look in the mirror tho?

1_ welcome! it's great to have you! 2_lose the word "diet" - bad connotation for your "new" mindset 3_choose your foods carefully - well balanced, there is no special foods, just natural foods 4_search the posts - there are so many good tips and lots of advice for almost any questions you may have. But be careful and don't…

Add me too! I'm at 158, looking to get to about 140 (to start) then focusing on 131 @ 19% BF. baby steps. :) Either way, when I lost the weight last time I know I looked great at 145 in a bikini so I'm moving in that direction for this summer! :)

It takes as long as it takes. You will know when you get there. A "safe" estimate is losing 1 lb a week - some weeks more, some weeks less.

Add some honey to your peanut butter and dip green apples in it - it's like caramel apples! You're welcome. ;) Greek yogurt, natural peanut butter, honey + sliced green apples. :)

I frickin' HATE it when people do that to me! I tell them it's about what I eat, how much I work out, etc. and then they say something like "well, I have to put my kids first in my life right now" - somehow implying that I don't. Those people have problems and excuses - at a tight race between the two. Don't make them your…

Depends on the head it's attached to, and the brain beneath that.

I love seeing these goals too! My first 10 lbs, I got myself a nice massage. I liked it so much I scheduled another one for the following six weeks (at 15 lbs lost by then). I'm not sure about the 20 lb mark. When I get to 145 goal weight - it will be a biggie (maybe a trip?) and when I get down to my 131 goal weight (with…
