hi all! I've missed the last three days, but not for lack of exercise! I decided to go to the gym on saturday - on sunday I was SO sore that I really needed a day off, and monday I opted for my body styling class at the gym. But I am back on it today and tomorrow, and certainly over xmas!

I weigh in on wednesdays so i will check in then good job everyone!!

How can I say this without overstepping my bounds... your partner should be supportive of you, no matter what - especially when are you going through a difficult journey such as this one. If that isn't the case, it sounds like you need to have a serious talk with him about how hurtful and counterproductive his lack of…

I know how you feel!! I really do. One of my big "breakthroughs" here on MFP is discovering the wonder of exercise - even when it's just walking! I "use" it to up my calories - because I KNOW that I wouldn't be able to stick to 1200. Another thought - maybe you could lower your weekly weightlosss to 1.5 or 1 pound? That…

oohhh me! I want to join! I am 27 and I also have about 20 pounds to lose (maybe more - but that is my first goal). I am going to aim for almost my goal by Valentines day - 70 kilos (I weigh 78 right now). That would be AMAZING. Valentine's Day goal: 70 kilos (155 pounds) Week 1 (12/22) - Week 2 (12/29) - Week 3 (1/5) -…

thanks! i know what you mean - I feel like I am finally "getting" level 2 so I can really work the moves. But isn't it great to see how quickly you improve? Almost makes you wish there was a level 4, and 5.... etc..

Hi all! I got up AGAIN this morning to do the shred - it's really nice, really wakes me up in the morning, and I start the day out on the right foot!! I have on a pair of jeans today that I haven't dared to look at for a while. They are snug, but they fit, and they remind me to stay on track :) ALSO I really notice a…

hahhahaha yes probably but i find the lifestyle here in general to be really healthy. lots of walking, lots of fresh food, lots of outdoor activities (hello - hiking in the alps, anyone!?)

re: onefitlady ooo, bands! great idea re: bynsky yes! have you been here? beautiful this time of year (and kinda always..)

thanks! walking is a good idea - the park is perfect for it. Sometimes I get bored while walking... but i found this walking routine from fitness magazine: http://www.fitnessmagazine.com/workout/cardio/walking/fat-burning-power-walk/

Hi all! just checking back in. I missed days on fri and sa - work xmas party and i was on a weekend trip - but I DID do the shred on sunday while i was away, and I got up this morning early to do it. I am planning on doing it every morning from now on - really wakes me up!! I am on level 2, day 4 and I feel SO much better
-
hehe but seriously - if you are on the 1200 calorie plan (what did you set your weekly weight loss to? cause that is very low) you should be careful to eat back your exercise calories, or you will most likely plateau. If you were on a slightly more forgiving plan - say 1 pound a week (which might put you at 1300 calories a…

... if you are only drinking diet soda and coffee you are dehydrating yourself even more - caffeine works like that. Drink water!!!! really!!! :D

I used lowfat plan, cheapo yogurt - a big giant container. it turned out AWESOME. In fact, it was already thick within 2 hours.. try it! here's an article on making your own: http://www.thekitchn.com/thekitchn/diy-recipe/diy-greek-yogurt-020636

PHEW! Today it was - still really really hard (SO SWEATY!!!) but i didn't feel as... dopey. I felt like my form was much better. The only move that i have a really hard time with are the plank jacks! my mat moves aLL over. OUCH.

oh dear, level 2 was HARD! But good. I am getting ready to go for a swim - when i come back, i will do the workout again - I can imagine it will def. get easier and easier, just like the last level!
-
that's awesome!! just another tip - if you run out of coupons, you can EASILY make your own (plain) greek yogurt by pouring normal plain yogurt into a seive lined with paper towels, over a bowl. Stick it in the fridge and let it drain overnight - DELISH and SOOOOO CHEAP.

what about "earning" your calories!? that's motivation for me!!!!! but i agree with the "if you hate the gym" comment. there are SO many other options! Maybe try some other stuff? wii? jogging? winter sports? swimming? whatever suits you!!! I just make sure i do something 6 days a week - regardless if it's a dvd, brisk…

WHAT A GREAT SITE! thanks so much for the tip

i am doing the 30 day shred - check out our thread here http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/135910-30-day-shred-starting-today-any-takers it's great because it's an inexpensive dvd (10$ compared to so many 100+ dvd that people recommend here!) and it only takes 20 minutes a day. It really gets my heart rate up and…

bump! why never use the weight loss program? ps: how do you track your calories for the interval burns?
-
@kate - lucky you! I just looked to find our closest pool but it's a 20 minute bus ride away.. would be too long for me. But I think I will start going after work! :) thanks for the motivation

i can imagine that it's sort of harder to maintain a "status quo" than it is to make changes and be constantly visibly rewarded, week after week. I agree about setting new goals - I'm not talking about never being satisfied, but what about some new fitness goals? Trying to run a 5k? Complete a swimming plan to achieve a…
-
@kate1500 - swimming at lunchtime sounds lovely! I wish there was a pool super close by. Do you have a particular routine that you do? ps: perhaps a travel hairdryer would be good?
-
Well obviously diet soda has NO sugar! Or else it would have calories! I drink it - but not too often. Interestingly, I find that the more I workout, the more my body craves WATER instead of soda! I find myself not wanting it at all! Weird. I say it's another case of everything in moderation. You are certainly not doing…

Hi all! Just completed my Day 10, but since I missed two days (not in a row) it's technically day 8.. Anyways, I am moving on to level 2 now because I feel ready. I'm excited! Will report back this evening... Keep up the good work everyone!
-
no one else ever tried any of these methods? the alternating baths really work!!!
-
I agree, it sounds like a circulation thing. Have you tried doing some mild physical activity for bed? I'm not talking super cardio but what about a brisk walk? Should warm you right up. I live in Germany and there are all kinds of cures for cold feet around here. Try an alternating bath! It may seem counterintuitive, but…

i guess that means that, technically, we are in the same time zone
