Hi Sara, I will add you. Im 28 and 5 6" - I try to follow low carb as much as possible and exercise 4 - 6 times a week. Just getting back into it now after a bad spell of eating / drinking too much! 10 pounds in 3 weeks is awesome!

Hey, nice to hear this, and good work! I started Whole30 around February (cant believe its November already!), but ended up getting really into a raw / fruit diet (I know totally opposite to low carb!), got really sick from the fruit and discovered that was causing a lot of upset tummy etc. SOoooo after a few hiccups along…

This sounds amazing thanks :)

You can have certain fruits, Im fairly sure berries are pretty low carb, or I sometimes just have half a piece of fruit, couple of slices of melon etc. Just good to check it out online before you eat it! :)

I put on a bit of weight so whilst Im trying to loose I aim to stick to my calories as well. When Im maintaining Im a bit more relaxed about it and focus on the carb amount.
-
Sounds yum, I make all my own sauces and seasonings. That way you know exactly whats going into them! :)

I was going to say Insanity. Actually just seen your comment about the price - that is totally ridiculous. I do Blogilate, its really good, lots of different workout videos on youtube, and each month she releases a workout calender. This is all free! :)

Wow I just discovered this today, did a couple of her workouts SO awesome :) I was laughing at her chatting away, pretty entertaining. I think this might be my new addiction, especially as it starts to get colder - nice to be able to exercise inside for free! I'm waiting for Mays calendar to come out and then I'm going to…

Yeah, heres hoping the attitude stays!! Lucky you living somewhere that warm :)

Hey, if you could PM me the facebook group that would be great :)

It isnt trashy, its just another word used to shame women, their bodies and their choices - implying that someone is a tramp because they have a tattoo on their lower back is not only offensive, its utterly ridiculous. I agree everyone is entitled to their opinion, but some of the name calling on here is laughable.…

Thats a good idea putting exercise in the notes section, mine always adds on carbs for me and I sometimes go over by accident! In response to questions about open diaries, mine is open, but only to friends.

Pretty much covered on the above answer! Re. the calorie counting, because a lot of the favoured low carb meals are higher in fat, you could find it hard to keep around 1300 every day, so maybe try to be flexible where possible. I dont go nuts on my calories, Im set to 1200 and usually hover around that mon- fri, but thats…

I dont eat gluten or most fruit, but thats due to food intolerences and not through dislike of them. I LOVE fruit, but my tummy does not! I generally do low carb and I find I loose weight best on this, but I think thats generally a combination of smart food choices and exercise. Im sure if you ate gluten in the form of…

I think its the big shift in eating styles and options, before low carb I used to buy lunch - sushi, hot chips etc. but now, not much near work offers low carb options so I just eat a salad every day. Whereas at the wknd I usually have more time to prep food, or more options when eating out, so my calories tend to be…

I've been caught out on this a couple of times! I just stick to my usual amount and don't eat them back.
-
I'm usually quite low, but more during the week, the wknd I find lots more I can eat :)
-
Yep, when you are puking it up the next day :)

I have just come across this, different to the usual cauliflower pizza and looks SO tasty :) I usually make my own sauces, but if you were buying store made just make sure sugar isnt too high. http://www.recipebyphoto.com/low-carb-grilled-zucchini-pizza/

This is part of the issue, drinking is such a big part of our culture its such a hard thing to quit. itsjenetics - well done for stopping, its a hard thing to do. I still drink, but in moderation and I make sure I give my body a month or so off every now again again. When I stop it really hits me how OK it is to drink and…

This is my favourite site for low carb meals: http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/ Another user posted this Pinterest site which Ive got my recipes for next week from: http://pinterest.com/hayleysuel/march-meltdown/ Also dont forget, you will be burning the calories through breastfeeding so make sure you get enough food in to…

I tried this, and like Carissar said above it is really just healthy eating. Check out the Whole30 website, they have lots of great recipes and a good message board. I ended up stopping and going back to a more low carb way of eating as certain things affected my food intolerance's (namely fruit), but I would recommend it…

I agree 100%, actually made me feel a bit shakey reading this post. Wasnt sure if its because Im from UK / Aus with no experience with them, so good to know someone from the US feels the same.
-
I do the same, stay on busy roads, no shortcuts through alleys / woods etc. I actually feel a bit safer when its darker as I feel exposed during the day. Being aware of surroundings, not listening to music too loud / at all, carrying a mobile in your pocket and letting people know where you are going are all ways to keep…

Also further to this delightful comment, in the UK we do not seem to have such an issue with violence and murders as in the US: During 2011 in the UK there were around 550 murders per year. In 2011 there were 12,664 murders in the US. Of those, 8,583 were caused by firearms.

What do the Nazis have to do with women running at night??!! You have taken this to such an extreme example. The issue is with the lack of safety and this is something that can not be sold with people arming themselves to go for a run, I think that is a ridiculous resolution. The problem is that people should feel safe…

Carrying a gun whilst going for a run?! This post has escalated somewhat.

I eat gluten free and I have lost weight, but I generally take more care of what I eat now and find that eating gluten free / low carb works best for me. As with everything - its a personal preference. That said, some people fall into the trap of buying gluten free products which can be high in sugar, and end up putting on…

Same here, for me it was my body adjusting. It did get easier, but I remember it took a while. Lots of good suggestions from people to test out :)

48, not that surprising really. Ongoing issues with BDD and EDs, in recovery now and I think Im much better than I used to be, obviously still a long way to go though....
