Definitely better than a snickers!! I don't get breaks, and eat when i want as well. I am very particular in what I bring. I do not wish to go to vending machines! That is a killer for healthy eating!!

You can eat back your exercise calories. That is where you get what you feel you need. If you burn 500 calories, that is 500 calories more food to eat. If you burn 2000 or more calories, have at it! I eat a lot of fruit, kefir, Greek yogurt, beans, wild rices, cheese…. sometimes cereal. And my protein shakes which are full…

A bag of blood oranges is under $4. That is about 7 healthy snacks. $3 cheaper than 7 candy bars… Bananas are even cheaper… If you are going for mangos. kiwis and pineapples, that may get expensive… But not fruit in general.

I look at it like this; in everyday life circumstances will occur when we eat more than regular. Birthday parties, date nights, holidays… I see it like this, if I get used to compensating as a norm for such things now, it will not be an issue later. It will lead to long term success, rather than a backslide, trudge, then…

Let's face it, gravy goes great with rice of any sort!! I never had it until I lived in The South. I am a California kid, born and raised with a lot Washington rain in the mix. But the southern food and the cajun food… Bama and Louisiana… Yeah!! Love it!!

I have been able to find a few veggie juice calories on some websites, but it is so hard to find good info on this. I would guess 60-100 calories per 8oz glass. For logging, I would estimate 90 to be on the safe side...

You can look through my diary for ideas. I generally use a banana, and the other fruit I prep and freeze in large quantities for my smoothies. I use kefir for a liquid, and put a serving of Greek yogurt in them as well.

You are the kind of person that destroys work environments and makes people miserable at work. Just an fyi. Camaraderie should be the way.

And white rice has no taste. Wild rice blends give you a better nutrient profile and a better taste than even brown, though I do enjoy brown. I used to use primarily straight wild rice, but others found it too overpowering. Whenever I make 50/50 brown/wild or a wild blend, everyone loves it. I use it for Mexican Rice,…

You need a tortilla press. I have a wooden one I bought at a garage sale from a couple that makes them. To get them thin enough you have to have small tacos. You can make these tostada like things with big thick ones. I forget what they are called. But it is really easy.

Still not as filling...

Hook me up! Never been married!! ;-)

I like to make my own corn tortillas, and cook them soft. I love Mexican style tacos. This Friday I am making some pork tacos with beans and rice. All from scratch. The rice will be a wild blend. I will slow cook a pork roast wrapped in bacon and seasoned with a mirepoix. I am going to make an onion, tomato, pepper (hot or…
