Usually a greek yogurt, a protein shake, and a banana. Usually grapes and or raisins mid morning. Lunch varies.

Fish has a lot of protein. Lean turkey for the number of calories has a high amount of protein. I've started putting protein powder in lots of things. I got tired of shakes. Google protein powder recipes and I think you'll be surprised by what you can make with it.

I thought (in the US) that restaurants had to be able to supply the nutrition information upon request. I could be wrong.

Well the database has 3, 4, and 5 minute mile walks. I'd pick whichever of those matches your pace.

There is no magic calorie burned calculator. Every one of them has to use a formula to guess at what calories you burned. It's an educated guess but it's still a guess. Was your old one giving you to many or is the new one giving you to few? Did the old one actually take your heart rate into account or did it simply make a…

Doing insanity itself isn't going to set you back. I doubt you'll have the energy to do both. Insanity is designed to push you to your limit. That's why they call it Insanity. It should easily replace your running and your running will be improved when you go back to it because of the increased cardio capacity that you…

Good on you for realizing this. People so often think they can eat whatever junk they want as long as they stay under their calorie goal and be ok. It's healthier to eat more calories of good stuff than less calories of junk.

Why is it that vegetarians want meat eaters to accept them yet they are not accepting or tolerant of the meat eaters? Why are vegetarians always eating highly processed meat substitutes to replace what they don't get from meat? Why are the majority of athletes meat eaters if eating vegetarian is so much better for you? Why…

It's interesting how non-americans view americans. "The land of eating cows all the time?" I've never heard us described that way before.

I put the recipe into the mfp calculator and it said 161 calories each if you make 15 balls. It will vary with the brands of the ingredients that you select. Not my idea of a low calorie snack but its made of mostly good stuff. Light low cal ingredients could prolly cut the cals in half.

Very inspirational, Thanks!

If you have a smart phone and your using the MFP app you can scan things by the bar code. I get frustrated a lot not being able to find that I know are in the database because I've added them before. Most of the time I just scan the bar code with my phone and it's there. I've checked a lot of things against the label on…

I like others pictures and stories because it shows me that it can be done. If people with bigger struggles than mine and people with better excuses than mine can do it, than so can I.

I usually have a greek yogurt and a protein drink. Other high protein foods, cottage cheese, turkey, fish, peanut butter, banana. I love peanut butter and banana on toast. Breakfast doesn't have to be breakfast foods. Another option is protein powder cooked into other things. You can make pancakes with it, add it to eggs,…

I had considered that but I bought the kindle one anyway. Having it on my phone makes it much easier to find time to read it. I wanted to start reading right away and I also have a 10" tablet that I can use when I get to the exercises to see them on a big screen.. The paperback was $4 cheaper with free 2 day shipping, so I…

Well a trainer at my gym is $30 an hour. So for $15 I can pick up the kindle version of the new rules of lifting. If it saves me one hour of personal trainer time or makes time with a trainer more productive should I end up hiring one then it's a good investment. I'll start there. Thanks, for all the replies.
