Eating healthy is contagious as is eating unhealthy. When a couple works together the odds are much higher they will succeed no matter what it is they are doing. Often when one makes healthy changes the other will follow when they see results. It's far easier as are most things when married if you do it together. Sometimes…

Eat but eat healthy. If it happens often perhaps you should re-evaluate your goal. Is it to aggressive? Everybody wants to set it for 2lbs loss a week but then gets discouraged when they are hungry all the time and or not losing 2lbs a week. You probably didn't gain the weight at 2lbs a week, taking it off that fast is…

In the US health food and asian food stores usually have it. Some of your big grocery stores will have it either in the tofu section or with the gluten free stuff. You can't treat it just like regular pasta so follow the directions or a recipe to use it. Properly prepared I think it makes a good noodle substitute.

Looks like you've done a bunch of cardio have you thought about lifting?

Don't talk about it in front of him. I'm dealing with the same thing with my 4 young daughters. I don't want them growing up with body issues or eating disorders because their dad let himself get over weight in a period of 20 years. They definitely notice and repeat everything.

Make sure whatever you buy actually calcuates calories burned based on your heart rate. Some of the ones that track heart rate don't do this. They do it based on time. Some don't even calculate calories burned so make sure whatever features your looking for are present in whatever one you select. I went with a bluetooth…

By me, most places you can pay per session. Most places will have introductory packages where the whole point is to teach you and get you set up doing proper form and all. Then you can schedule additional sessions to checkin as needed. Do not sign up for any long term contract with any trainer before committing to a…

Yeah the free consults I had at my gym were disappointing. The first month she set me up with high reps low weights on the circuit machines. 5 weeks later she asked why I was doing so many reps. She didn't remember she set me up to begin with. Then she advised that that what i needed to do was lift heavy and less reps but…

Big losses will be seen by almost everyone significantly overweight in the first couple weeks with any restriction of diet regardless of what "new" foods they are eating.

You have dropped a pant size. By your own admission you should have been in 20's and now 18's are loose. Well done! Keep up the good work, it's just a matter of time and you'll be in 16's which would be dropping 2 sizes.

I don't weigh on a schedule. I log every time I weigh. What good does it due to not log a gain? Spotting trends should be helpful.

So there's no reese's pieces in it? PB2 and other powdered peanut butter typically has 45 calories per 2 table spoon serving. Normal Peanut butter has 200. Jif Natural that someone mentioned has 190. When looking at Protein powders read the ingredients read the reviews. The good stuff that's low in calories and tastes good…

I know what dinner is going to be tomorrow night. But I'm going to skip the peas and add chicken.

The MFP way is not the short way. I doubt you'll find much support for this here. Not to be sarcastic or unsupportive but why do you want to do a juice diet? Is there some study that has been done to show that it is a safe and effective way to lose weight? I suggest you research it more before diving in.

Congrats, I love all this people hitting this milestone. I didn't have as far to go as some but I've only got 6 lbs to go.

Depends a lot on what fruits and veggies your eating. Melon type fruits contain a lot of water vs. an apple or pear that contains a lot of fiber. I would venture to bet your not eating apples. Same goes for veggies, it depends on the veggie. I find that raw baby carrots as a snack help fight off the hunger cravings.

The book "New Rules of Lifting for Women" is often given when this question is asked. I just finished the "New Rules of Lifting for Life", a book aimed at middle age men and the program is to complicated for me. To many choices. I need to be told what to do so I'm looking for a simpler program to follow or I might hire a…

But the BMR that MFP uses is got some activity figured into it doesn't it? Even the sedentary setting isn't assuming coma is it?

Stay away from processed foods. Especially weight watcher or lean cuisine type of frozen meals. They may be low in calories but they are nearly always high in sodium. Try more fresh foods, look for lower sodium versions of the processed food that you do buy. You can add sodium as one of the things that MFP tracks for you,…

Yeah nobody gets this. I've been telling people I'm not on a "diet". I'm just trying to make healthier choices. Diets have all kinds of negative connotations about starving yourself and restricting what types of food your allowed to eat. They don't get a "diet" that allows you to not be hungry and to be able to eat things…

Well how far is the relay leg? Add up the distance. If you can train to run that distance in a year then you should be able to easily run that distance with the breaks.I love having goals. If you have a goal to run that distance and your committed to it then you'll be able to do it. If your goal involves other people then…

My advice, don't pressure her. You can remind her that you offered. You can offer again. You can encourage her but you can't do it for her or force her to do it. Just keep being there for her if you can. Maybe call her more often just to talk to her. Let her talk, don't push her on the things that she doesn't want to do.…

This is a myth, google it.

Not a good idea. Google "to much protein" and you'll see why.

Nothing wrong with it but it may get old in a hurry. There's not of things you can replace to change your sodium intake. The first is to avoid processed foods and eat more fresh fruits, vegetables, lean meats, and fish.

If your logging your weight in MFP you can get a graph. Click on reports, select progress, select weight, and then secect how far back you want it to graph from. Even if you haven't been logging your weight here you can put in entries in the past.
