  • The MFP goal is just that, it is your goal. Try to eat to your goal. Being 300 under your goal when that is 25% of your daily intake is quite significant. Very low calorie dieting is not sustainable. It is one of the reasons many people fail at dieting. You'll be hungry, tired, and cranky. You won't feel good. It messes…
  • You are doing the same thing as eating back your calories because they are factored into your daily allowance.
  • I don't sew I make gear and it's not a sewing machine, it's a thread injector and I like to use it.
  • Wrong, why do people reply when they don't read the whole thread. This has already been brought up in this thread.
  • Are you logging everything? It's easy to not do when drinking alcohol and eating fast food. You keep repeating that you did not have these problems in the past. When you wanted to lose you lost at a steady pace. Was what you were eating and drinking then similar? I think if you cut the alcohol and the fast food regardless…

  • The OP wants a snack, they didn't mention that they wanted 600-800 calories. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a bowl of ice cream before going to bed if it fits into their goal for the day. If goals are properly set then not only is the goal the max you want to it, its also your target that you want to get up to.
  • Plan for it and eat it. Timing is irrelevant. Calories in < calories out = weight loss Think of your calorie goal as your budget. That's how many calories you can spend on eating food per day. Either make your day fit into your budget or work out to add more calories to spend.
  • Lots of good suggestions in this thread. I didn't see fish or jerky. I found this list from- http://www.marksdailyapple.com/protein-amounts-in-food/#axzz2Hav8SWt3 Meats Beef (6 oz.) – 54 grams Turkey, breast (6 oz.) – 51.4 grams Pork Chop (6 oz.) 49 grams Turkey, dark meat (6 oz.) – 48.6 grams Hamburger (6 oz.) – 48.6…
  • BMI is a estimate of your body fat percentage based only on height and weight. It doesn't measure your body fat %. You can try to get a better estimate with a caliper or with one of the fancy scales that can measure this. I have one of these handheld jobs that does it-
  • Google water myth, you don't need 8 glasses a day to be as hydrated as your going to get. To much water can overwork your kidneys. No one has scientifically proven how much is to much. Most of the food you eat contains water, you can be completely hydrated without ever drinking any liquid. All liquids you can drink with…
  • Healthy eating has been key for me. I can eat 100 calories of chips and still be hungry enough to want to eat the whole bag. I can eat a 100 calories of broccolli or a banana and not have hunger cravings for an hour or 2. I snack a lot on fruits and veggies. That has helped me immensely with portion control at meals. I'm…
  • Diet has negative connotations. It implies restrictions and being hungry all the time. "I'm not on a diet because diets don't work. This is a lifestyle change. A healthy lifestyle is like music... we don't listen to a song for the purpose of getting to the end. I'm in this for the long haul."
  • My wife got me one of those cook with no oil ceramic pans for Christmas. So far I've been unimpressed. Maybe I'm just not doing it right. I also got a 14" skillet from a relative that has some kind of teflon'ish coating on it and I like that a lot. I cook meals for 6 of us and I like cooking extra for leftovers for my…
  • What's your weekly loss goal? Did you set it to 2lbs like nearly everyone starting out does? a more reasonable goal is 1/2 to 1 lb a week. Nobody believes this. They all want to lose it faster than they gained it. This is one of the more common reasons most people fail at this. You need to make changes that you can sustain…
  • I think you know the answer to this. He has to proceed at his pace.
  • Going every day is going to burn you out. You need to settle in for the long haul and make sustainable long term choices.
  • This is to much. How long have you been doing this? My bet is you don't last a month. You didn't put the weight on in a month. your not going to take it off and keep it off in a month. Shows like biggest loser do not model safe and healthy ways to lose weight. I'm not saying this to be mean. I'm encouraging you to do some…
  • Hot bath probably, Doing high intensity every day is tough on your body. Rest days are important. If you work out to hard you are likely to burn out and stop exercising at all. The best thing you can do is to make sustainable long term choices.
  • Mostly they are the same with egg noodles also having egg in them. There are no low calorie versions of them that I know of. So if they fit into your nutritional goals there is nothing wrong with them. Some people like 0 calorie shiritaki noodles as a substitute.

  • Do not force yourself to eat because you have calories left. To occasionally be under is ok. Just try to plan better for the future. You need to fuel your body to lose weight especially if your doing high intensity exercise. If your consistently having a hard time making your calorie goal then plan to eat more throughout…
  • Aren't those 2 for $1?
  • Can you wear your phone without headphones? I'm assuming your using an app that is announcing your intervals. You could always do it with a watch. Edit: About the how far, how fast, only you can answer that. You need to do what feels good to your body. You know what happens if you push it to much. It will set you back and…
  • So many newbies, so many resolutionists... I thought it was bad in the gym. So many threads full of bad information and newbies perpetuating old myths. Your not eating enough. You will crash, you will gain it back and then some. You did not get overweight by starving yourself so there is no way I believe you when you say…
  • Halibut, the fresher the better. It's like the filet mignon of fish. The best fish I have ever had. Whatever fish your eating try to get some fresh that has never been frozen. It makes heaps of difference.
  • Plenty of poison in diet coke. There are many who would question your choice to drink it. Your not getting the point that people are trying to make. What you think is poison is just fine to others while things that you think are ok are considered bad by others. Some people smoke, some people drink alcohol, some consume…
  • Grand Rapids'ish
  • You look healthier.
  • Like nearly every diet that is restrictive it will be difficult to sustain. If your consuming less calories than you use you will lose weight doing this. Like nearly every diet that cuts things out you won't get he balanced nutrition that your body needs. I see no problem with juicing as a supplement to real food but why…
