Before I lost 30lbs my knees and lower back would KILL me constantly. I always said "it hurts too much to do that workout". But there's always ways around it. First off, you need to strengthen your leg muscles to better support your knee (an actual suggestion from my doctor), so go for walks if possible. Also, wear a…

I haven't heard it's good for that, but it seems like it's good for just about everything else!

Unfortunately I did a lot of bad things today. Including not working out and eating a bunch of valentines candy. But I DID wake up early, help out a friend that just had surgery, and refused fried foods at work tonight. You take the good, you take the bad....

Don't only rely on weight, because if you're working out as much as you say you are you maybe be gaining muscle! When it comes to calorie counting, I feel all of the calculators and websites and tools and CRAP and just that, crap. Over analyzing is just going to stress you out. You know how to eat RIGHT. Eat slowly, drink…

She's venting. Chill.

Ditto girl. And I posted in the forums complaining about it and everyone picked my entire weeks food to pieces! "You ate junk. Look at all of that sodium. So much processed crap!" It was really, really hurtful, but I will admit it helps me better analyze the KINDS of foods I'd been eating. Some weeks you wont lose as much,…

I've been having the same issue. I enjoy meat, but sometimes you can only eat so much chicken and steak. I get burnt out! But recently I started adding whey protein (mixed with almond milk) and greek yogurt into my diet. It's an easy way of getting some serious bang for your buck! And with minimal fat and carbs as well.…

If money is an issue, there's always ways around that. ;) My DVDs and digital files were "gifts" from fellow workout buddies. Realistically, if you did a workout, any kind of workout, as hard as you can, for an hour a day, you WILL get results.

I WISH I COULD COMMENT ON ALL OF YOU! EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU ARE AMAZING!

I actually had to look through pictures to do this. Complete surprise to me how much my face has changed!!!

I started by eating veggies scrambles every morning. Zucchini, onion, tomato, mushrooms, asparagus, leeks, etc. Sauteed in a little olive oil with a TON of garlic powder and dry italian seasoning. Scramble in some eggs and YUM. You can add veggies to just about anything if you keep them correctly. Instead of mashed…

TWO things! Just because. I can lick my own elbow... I have a cowlick in my left eyebrow I have to trim on a weekly basis so it doesn't grow into my eyelashes! (no one notices)

I recently looked around at the gyms in my area to do price comparison. It's sickening how expensive it is to just go workout. 24 hour fitness and LA fitness we both around $40-$50 a month depending on location and special offers. Private gyms were $80+ a month, plus membership fees. Planet Fitness (new to my area) was on…

Mine is open for viewing. I try and stick around 1,325 calories, but it hovers. I get a lot of food ideas from Pinterest. You should check out the weightloss boards and foodie pages. Or try and buy one new food item a week and learn how to prepare it. Last week I got a bunch of leeks and started adding them to my eggs,…

On the topic of gardening at home. Here is a website I found on Pinterest that I thought was a REALLY good idea. You put in your location and the area you would like to plant and the websites tells you where, how, and when to do it all. Very easy to understand for beginners! http://www.smartgardener.com/

Unfortunately location has a LOT to do with price. And store like Whole Foods are marketed to be healthy high end markets, so everything is over priced. My best friends sister has lived all over the south and constantly complained about the food quality. In the Pacific Northwest there's an abundance of fresh local markets…

ACTUALLY as you replied to my post I was editing it, apologizing for not having any real information to give. I wish her luck, I'm just stating something I've heard along the way, that you DO need to have an understanding of food when you choose a lifestyle like this, because a lot of people just treat it like a fad. I'm…

Unfortunately I have to agree with this. If you're going to be on an intense diet like vegan you need to have a very good understanding of foods, nutrition, and what you're body really needs. When you cut out entire food groups or sources of nutrition (and meat) you need to know how to replace them correctly or your body…

I looked online and it seems like all distilled spirits are gluten free, but most (such as seagrsm's) have a gluten free disclaimer, because no company can actually certify anything they sell is 100% gluten free. But I think any spirit would be your best bet if you want to get your drink on. Vodka water/soda and lime has…

Saggy boobies. :(

Coffee with almond milk. Have to get some energy!

Awesome job! You look fantastic!

Totally with you. I hate having him see me sweat, which is ridiculous because we've been together for 3 years, he's seen me in worse states! After I started looking into joining a gym again he offered to look into getting me into his universities gym, but I turned him down and he thought I was crazy. I just know I wouldn't…

I'm guilty of having a freezer full (for emergency, on the run, lunch alternatives) but any of the Lean Cuisine, Healthy Choice type meals are all horrifically loaded with sodium. I always drink LOTS of water when I have one. :/ And anything SlimFast or similar in brand is loaded with sugar. I bought a chocolate powder mix…

I'm having a hard time getting enough protein in myself. As everyone else has said, eggs are great, just watch your cholesterol. White are much healthier than yolks. Geek yogurt has a TON of protein. Shrimp, fish (tuna), chicken, turkey (fresh, sausages, patties, etc - water your sodium!). Nuts (watch portion sizes!).…

Congrats!!! You look fantastic. Smile. ;)

I buy it frozen. It's usually with the other bagged vegetables. You don't eat the pods, just the seeds inside. I steam them in a bowl with a tiny bit of water in the microwave. (but you can boil them) They are great by themselves with a little course salt, or in salads and stir fries! It's getting a lot more popular so…

Edamame with sea salt. I just bought a bag in the frozen section to give them a try. Heated up a hand full of the pods and after the first bean I was hooked! Have to seriously watch my portions on those bad boys.

You are an amazing woman. Congrats on all of your achievements!

It may just be a simple observation she's had. I don't see the harm in asking a wider range of people to see who logs what. Sheesh.
