  • The first step to avoiding all of the quick fixes is educating yourself. Learning portion control, learning how to cook better, and learning what you need and don't need. To lose this significant amount of weight AND keep it off involves a complete lifestyle change, so look at it that way. Everything you do needs to…
  • Always weight yourself in the same spot at the same time of day. If your scale consistently gives you different readings you may need to invest in something for reliable. For a while I had one that was slightly different every time I got on it, so usually I'd weigh myself 3 times then take the average. *and always make…
  • Chicken, brown rice, sauteed veggies, and a yummy sauce. Omelette filled with whatever you like and a piece of whole grain toast...or gluten free bread. AppleGrove all natural beef hot dog, whole wheat bun, sweet potato chips, and a flavored coconut water if you're feeling frisky. ;)
  • I keep telling my friends this and they just keep ignoring me and getting angry. Le sigh.
  • Thanks for the opinion, jonnythan. My information is an accumulation of words I've gotten from other people when I had questions. It's the best I can do. You CAN eat too much protein, it CAN have negative effects on you, and eating REAL food is the best for you body. The End.
  • I am by no means an expert, but there are a few things I've picked up along the way. - The over consumption of meat protein is bad simply because of the way your body breaks it down. Something about the byproduct. Look into it more if you want. It's just a tidbit I remember from an anatomy course. - Also, soy protein is…
  • I've always been a really bad binge eater when I'm PMSing. Recently I tried this whole "gluten free" thing and honestly, a lot of my food cravings went away when I eliminated bread, pasta, crackers, and gluten. For the first time EVER I was able to keep my cravings in check and satisfy them with healthier things. Maybe try…
  • I think the general rule for any cold turkey separation is three weeks. The longer you can go the easier it should get. I'm a sugar-aholic, though. So I question if I could ever REALLY completely cut it out. I wish you luck. It'll be really good for you!
  • It could be because your meals aren't at the right intervals, or you're not eating the right foods. Recently I cut out gluten, which meant cutting out a lot of carbs because I chose to stop eating breads and pasta and crackers and cookies. This meant a TON more meat and vegetables throughout the day and WAY less overall…
  • - I add the chocolate kind to chocolate whey protein shakes with 1/2 a banana. - Mix the regular kind with plain greek yogurt. Put it on anything. I like waffles. - Mix it with 1Tbsp of flavored coffee creamer (vanilla, cinnamon, etc) and 1Tbsp of mini semi sweet chocolate chips. Cook in the microwave until bubbly. Stir.…
  • I'm going to expand on this and try to make them gluten free. They'll end up with slightly higher calories, but probably still lower than your standard brownie! :)
  • Depends on what you and them are into. I know a few dudes that wear kilts. They're funny dudes, not sure I'd date a guy in a kilt, but it's not necessarily a BAD look. Be your own person.
  • It's funny to see how over protective some parents are. My mother worked late hours because she owned her own business when I was growing up. Sometimes I'd spend a few hours at a neighbors. But she never had a problem leaving me home alone with my little sister. I was in elementary school and my sister was 5 years younger.…
  • The pyramid scheme turned me off. I asked a friend who was a rep just a few questions and she wouldn't stop hounding me for weeks. Now whenever I see someone with a herbalife sticker plastered on their car I avoid them.

  • I like a hairy man. Tamed beard, a little chest hair, oh yes. Shoulder hair, no. Back hair...I can deal with it if it's minimal. Men are supposed to be hairy.
  • Fantastic job! You look great!
  • I crave chocolate CONSTANTLY. What I've found kind of helps is weening yourself off of intense tasting refined sugars. The prepackaged sugary sweet desserts just leave you wanting more. It's like a drug. Try and replace your dessert/sweet cravings for more naturally sweet things. Fruits are great. If you need a little…
  • I'm with you girl! In a dream world. I think it's possible, because really it's about correct nutrition and hard workouts. Your boobs shouldn't be limiting. My issue is consistency. But at least weightloss made the tata's smaller! 36GG to a 34F!
  • I've been slacking lately... But typically I take potassium, fish oil, B-complex, vitamin D, and a joint supplement. ALSO! For those that feel sick when they take vitamins, I just recently realized I don't have any side effects when I take gel caps.
  • I work in two restaurants, so basically anything deep fried. You can only say no to deep fried goodness for so long...
  • Bugs are in just about everything you eat, ESPECIALLY if it's been mechanically processed. (and dirt, rats, and the occasional body part...) If you want mushrooms just get them fresh. You can have WAY more bulk for WAY less calories/sodium.
  • Have you talked with your doctor about this? I gained 40lb in a year and had a really, REALLY hard time losing. After some blood work I found out I had a slight thyroid issue. Nothing serious, but enough to make losing weight and staying awake and lively difficult. On a whole other note have you tried anything like the…
  • Every few days, I wake up, use the restroom, strip down completely naked (even jewelry), place my scale in the same spot in my bathroom mat and weigh myself. You don't have to be obsessive, just try and do it the same time of the day with the scale on the same surface.
  • First off, amazon. When I was first learning to cook I found some pretty decent "college student" cook books on there. If you're worried about money always buy in bulk, freeze what you wont eat right away, and don't be scared to coupon! Go to the store, check out prices, see what you can afford and go from there. If you…
  • I loved giving those dudes a hard time at the gym. They could stare me down all they wanted, all they ever got from me was a huge eye roll.
  • I would just keep track and see where you're at over a week or few days. Don't stress about the daily, stress about your average.
  • Make sure you get all of you fruits and veggies, but add in more meats (watch your fats), and nuts/peanut butter/almond butter, and things like brown rice, quinoa, and black beans. You're doing awesome.
  • You can also use a box of cake mix and substitute diet soda and/or applesauce to make it low calorie and low fat! Dark soda for dark cakes, clear soda for white cakes. I usually make funfetti with no sugar added applesauce in place of oil. Just over 100 calories per cupcake with a little bit of frosting. Plus they're SUPER…
  • You will get extreme results from extreme diets, but it's not sustainable long term, and I assume that's your goal. Listen to your body. Load up on highly nutrient rich foods, and if you're HUNGRY, eat something. Good luck.
  • The heavier you are the faster you'll lose. Men also lose much easier than women. My father lost 14lb in two weeks by ONLY changing what he was eating. Just make sure you meet your calorie requirements, meet your protein requirements, and just make healthy choices. :)
