  • I find simple to be best - I always do 1) spinach and/or dark lettuce, 2) ripe banana, 3) protein powder, 4) ice and water + whatever other fruits are on hand. I find that if the banana is not ripe (ie it should be well freckled), the smoothie is too thick to be drinkable and not sweet enough!
  • I agree with all of this. If you break up your goals into manageable, bite size, do-able steps, including what seems like obvious and/or tiny steps, you'll likely feel like you're on a path. Good luck!
  • Trader Joe's pumpkin pie spice! Just a small shake in coffee or tea is great! For turkish coffee-style, add powdered cardamom too.

  • Skim or 2% milk + a tsp or less of maple syrup, which adds to the creaminess!
  • I make coffee at home and add a dash of trader joe's pumpkin spice spice mix (all spices, 0 calories I think).. It's delish!
  • Saute onions and garlic. Then add and sauté steel cut oats. Finish cooking the oats in low cal veggie broth. I usually add various veggies in the lat 5-8 mins of cooking.. Voila! Healthy risotto knock-off!
  • Love love this thread!
  • Yogi Egyptian Licorice.. naturally sweet, like candy (no sugar/honey required) and great when the weather has turned chilly!
