  • I am with you...I have been tracking for weeks and lost a big five lbs. it used to be so much early...just found out that I am officially in menopause...actually, I found out last year at 47.. Now stop 48, with fibromyalgia and psoriatic arthritis, I so miss the girl who could so easily could just go God a walk, be healthy…
  • Yes...I blame my med's (prednisone and a fun medication slurry for psoriatic arthritis) for my 45 lb weight gain. I monitor what I eat, drink lots of water, and depending on my pain level, try to walk *unless I am having a bad flare)....count me in for support..
  • wow--I just looked up this diet, and actually have found myself eating this way in the last month after my mom was diagnosed with diabetes. There are some differences, but basically the same diet. I really miss bread, butter and deserts though...sigh... I am so happy to hear of someone who has had good results with this…
  • hi-feel free to add me to your list of friends--I am right there with you on this one ! I had a massive flare of what turns out to psoriatic arthritis (already have fibro ) in August. I was put on high doses of prednisone (aguh), and started on a 'aggressive treatement plan". Six months later, I am finally off the evil…
  • As someone who lives in Wisconsin, let me just say that I feel your pain! It snowed here this week, and since it gets dark around 4 or 4:30, walking outside in the windy dark cold air is hardly a fun time. I am not looking forward to a very long, long winter...feel free to add me to your friend list..I am following much…
  • Hi I was originally diagnosed with SLE, and that has morphed and changed over the last few decades--Now, the rhuematolgists are concluding that it is psoriatic arthritis and also mixed connective disease, fibro etc. I am also on prednisone )20 mg) and just started methotrexate--it is driving me crazy with the side effects.…
  • Please add me to your friend list--I have the same amount to lose, and have gained a lot also due to life changes, and some unfortunate health news. I blame the meds for the weight gain (ha), but it was probably more emotional stress eating. Bread and butter, cupcakes with frosting, twix bars...you name it and I seem to be…
  • Hi--Ahhh, the great nutella and peanut butter duo strike again (ha) ! I know where you are coming from--in fact, I have re-started just this week to MFP, with at least 40 (hopefully 50) pounds to lose. You can do this ! feel free to add me as a friend! enjoy your day!
  • I can't due jumping exercises either--bad knee, plus I just got over fracturing my foot. I am probably using my foot as an excuse, since I hate any sort of exercise that seems like excercise, and I also because I just spent my entire day at my twin nephew's birthday party, eating really good (but oh, so bad for me)…
  • hi--I just had a whole weekend like that ! Birthday parties for family members, baptisms with awesome bakery cake and homemade lemons square bars, pasta and lots of bread. I made myself track just now, and feel huge....worse than that, I thought I was looking thin today before the giant family baptism photo...yeah...not so…
  • wow, your stats are almost the same as mine, including the weight that I am at now, and where I want to end up. This has been a really bad week for eating and exercising. I am craving pizza and buttered popcorn almost every night, and a protein shake just isn't the same. Damn, damn, damn...
  • Small success, are you kidding me? That is an AWESOME and amazing loss of weight :) Congratulations !!!!!
  • Hi---I broke my toe and fractured my foot in January and have been using it as an excuse since then. I just started riding a recumbent bike ....add me to your motivation kick start group! Game on !
  • Hi--I am in! I just found out that their is a huge family event coming up near the end of April, so I feel extra motivated. I am around 162 now and would love to eight pounds lighter or 156 by the end of April. game on !
  • Hi--It doesn't sound silly--it sounds amazing and great ! You are challenging your body and self to become better and stronger, which is clearly working! Awesome job--celebrate with some fun non-food reward :) t

  • HI--I would love to add you as a friend on this crazy journey we are on...I started a few weeks ago, and the pounds are coming off slowly. I also am trying to learn how to cook (and not burn everything), so it should be an adventure... Looking forward to hearing from you...I think support is so important when trying to…
  • Hi--welcome! I just started a few weeks ago, and still feel like I am starting a brand new program. Feel free to add me to your list for support :)
  • Welcome! You will do an awesome job on this...
  • Hi--I have also been on lyrica and it caused a 45pound weight gain that I am still working on losing. It is so disheartening when you find a medication that works for your medical condition, but causes such hard to deal with side effects. Feel free to add me as a friend on your new wellness quest ! Enjoy your day!
  • Hi--I understand your frustration with losing weight when you are on needed medication! It seems like a catch-22--you need the medication to function and feel better, but the side effects are hard to deal with. I have been on an arthritis med on and off for years, and every time it is prescribed, I know I will gain at…
  • Wow! I think that I would have been crying after the first set, with vomiting sure to follow. What did you say to yourself mentally to push through. I am so far out of shape right now, it is pretty sad. Just recovering from a broken foot, which I think I am using as an excuse to start working out again :). Awesome job !…
