there really was no secret... look at my diary it's open... the big thing to keep in mind is 281 to 185 is a huge step... but 281 to 280 isn't... and 280 to 279 isn't... just take lots of little steps and you can do it...

I live in New York and prefer a .45... but where I live I have never had a problem with other dogs... good local PD and animal control take care of things... .45 is a backup...

I still don't consider myself a runner... but can not do 3-5 miles holding a 8 minute pace... 1 mile in 7 minutes... I started last September 90 pounds heavier and could not run 100 yards... would run 1 block walk a block... took me two months to get to a mile... I have leveled off on the distance... I ussually run 3 miles…

I weigh myself a couple of times a week... usually when I get home from work just before dinner... Dinner is my big meal so I figure I am at my furthest point from it at that point... its worked for me..

growing up my dad always called me fat boy... looking back I was not really that fat... a little overweight but nothing to major... but I got used to being the fat boy... it was just who I was... when I was in my 20's he apologized (un prompted on my part) about it and I am good with that... but I look back at it and think…

yeah I chalk alot of it up to the major difference... most people don't recognize me anymore... and many of the people who have made those comments are either overweight or obese... I'd never tell them that as its not my place... I did not lose the weight for anyone else... I did it for me... I was fine with my weight... I…

thanks... I have been trying to up my calories in small ways getting ready to switch from losing weight to maintaining for a while... I am adding a protein drink to my daily workout... so hopefully that will help a little... I'm at that nervous stage right now... when you have something that has been working making changes…

current goal is to get to 180...from there I will switch to body fat... might go up or down a little after... I know its not really accurate but I would like to be not overweight on the BMI chart... I'm almost there after 8 months... started at 280... I'm 189 now... home stretch...

great job... and I agree that I hate to sound like nascar but first thing I tell people when they ask how I did it was MFP... I tell them as long as they are honest, enter everything and stay in there goals they should loose... worked for me...

seems to be working... I have upped my numbers in MFP but rarely eat to those numbers... to worried about messing with something that is working... our gym at work is closed this week so today I ran indoors at the track (I work at a college) with a coworker who runs 5ks all the time and he had a hard time keeping up with…

my mom lives across the country from me and when I posted a picture of me when I hit 200 she asked who it was :)

I think this is it... when everyone has a bmi over 30, 25 looks skinny and 20 looks sickly to them...
