Doesn't really matter that much to me... I can find both attractive if the person is attractive to me in other ways....

It gets easier as time goes on..... just make sure you don't have your goals set too low.... nothing kills a diet like hunger.... you can still lose weight and eat.
-
The only reason this diet is so popular is because it cloaks itself under the guise of science and promises rapid weight loss.... something about being miserable eating only 500 calories while taking strange injections/drops seems extremely unappealing to me.

Oh I'm doing ok... pretty quiet here in this group! I didn't even notice your reply til now... glad to be back on track with MFP after being off the wagon for a few months this fall.... feels so much better to be going to right direction....

I would be disappointed that I couldn't log, but totally respect them if they did black out...

I had this, and it was very painful... The only things that helped me was using like a small rubber ball to massage the bottom of my foot... and stop exercising for about a week for it to clear up.... but it went away and now I'm fine...

I, too, find it easy to keep up with... I started having trouble once I got below 210 and had to drop my intake below 1700 calories a day... then I started getting hungry and having a hard time doing it... then I went on vacation and screwed everything up.

My only rule is try to stay under the calorie limit any way possible... although I do give myself an "over" day once in a while to be social.
-
Only if I can't get a good estimate of what I ate... not to lie to myself or other people to look good, it'd take a lot more than just lying about food intake for *that* to happen. :)

Its really tough.... usually if I know i'm gonna be in that situation, I barely eat all day before hand so I can enjoy myself later.
-
I feel bad for that guy.... glad they changed the format of the show a bit to save him from killing himself after another couple years of that.

The calculator is probably making the assumption that you were already eating more than that. If you are not that hungry, certainly don't eat more than about 2500... as you lose weight it will adjust itself down (usually every 10 lbs)... and you'll end up balancing out.
-
If it keeps you from dropping out completely, its definitely worth it. Cheat meals can be great for morale, and you may decide later that you don't need to cheat... but if it gets you through, its worth it.

This study is kinda lame.... when they say 20% they mean instead of 1 out of 77 people getting pancreatic cancer.... 1.2 out of 77 people getting it. That's not as drastic as they're trying to make it out to be, and could have nothing to do with the addition of bacon to their diet. People who eat a lot of bacon are likely…

If you ask me.... 64 cals is within the margin of error of estimating.... so it barely counts as over.... I think calorie counting is generally + or - 100 every day.

Bingo.... positivity... that's what makes it so great.

I have been hopelessly addicted since starting back at the beginning of the year. I've been making much more use of the social aspects of this site and realizing how powerful friends here can be, strangers or not. Its made it a lot more fun.

Pretty much anything I've ever heard about metabolism.

17.... tasted like cigarettes

My job just joined the Virgin Healthmiles thing... trying to reward us for positive changes with cold, hard cash. I'm gonna try it out, although the site seems pretty weak, and its based on carrying around a pedometer, which to me is nothing but wishful thinking. But free money is free money.

I haven't completely quit facebook.... but G+ has a lot to offer... I like the control it gives as to who sees what. I'd love to see it add some more features, but as it is, its pretty decent.

I used to be that way.... I converted to Diet Coke when I first tried dieting in college, but have never even tried to break that habit completely. Nowadays I can't even drink the regular stuff because its too sweet. A lot of people refer to urban legends about how "bad" diet anything is for you.... but it certainly beats…

Adidas Sambas..... always...

I had this problem for like 2 months a few years back and my only solution was to stop what I was doing that was causing it (elliptical).... it cleared up after a week.
-
I wouldn't put any stock into the "calories" part of things.... its really just the same calories you would have been burning otherwise. But they are good for getting you motivated to walk a bit more.

Probably harmless, but the guy sounds like a total creeper... I'd never go thru my co-workers cubes without permission unless I accidentally dropped something in there...
-
I'm right there with you.... not interested in marriage, not interested in kids.... As for the kids thing.... I'm just too selfish and already don't have enough time as is, much less having to dedicate all my time to a child. It would really be best for both me and my hypothetical "child" if they just didn't exist, so…

Ignore... double posted

Definitely.... after that it is really doesn't come off much more than a pound a week....
