A quote from my new favorite book " Don't eat crap"....that means no processed, no fast food, lots of whole grains, fruits, veggies, lean meat, and low fat dairy and all of that in moderation! That doesn't mean I don't slip up and have treats but if I eat well 90% of the time I feel great!

Quinoa is great for breakfast! I add dated, raisins, figs anything I have on had! And you can eat oatmeal when you are gluten sensitive you just have to make sure it isn't processed in a place that process wheat. I have found some in our local organic grocery store. Just make sure you check the label!

The series that really got me into reading were the Nancy Drew mysteries. Now I read anything and everything. But a good murder mystery is always on my bedside table!

I buy somethings organic and some not but I always try and by local! And I live in Canada so in the winter buying local is a challenge then I go the organic route most of the time!!!

I walk most everyday and have lost 14lbs so far. I just downloaded an app to my phone called "Mapmyfitness" that tells you how far and how fast you've walked or ran etc. It's free!

Thanks for posting...great determination you have had and still have! I have always been a great believer in moderation and slow and steady wins the race. I admit that faster would be nice once in a while!!! I will check out your page!

I always take my own food to work instead of going to the cafe exercise I find a bit of a challenge especially when working...It's a little easier in the summer cuz i will go for a walk after work cuz it is light out. Right now I go to work in the dark and come home in the dark! I take the stairs all the time at work and…

Don't know if anyone has mentioned any books in this thread but Christine Northrup M.D. has written a couple of good books on women's issues she takes a more holistic approach. And a Canadian authour and nutritionist Natasha Turner is also excellent can't remember the name of her book...that's menopause for ya!! I do take…
