  • I feel satisfied and stayed within my calories!
  • You look terrific! Great job!
  • Congratulations on the weight loss and your marriage! Your dress is beautiful and you were a stunning bride!
  • I have a stressful job, as well, and I work 9 hours every day (including my lunch break, I eat at work and am available). I workout more or less as soon as I get home and use that time as my transition period; I look forward to it as a way to transition from work to home each day. My advice, which in the past I truly hated…
  • To be down one clothing size. I had hoped by the end of August, may take a little longer.
  • Congratulations! You look terrific and your happiness shows. You are an inspiration to me and probably many others with what you said about patience and being kind to yourselves. Best of wishes to you.
  • Thanks! I love chimmichurri as well, I am eager to give it a try.
  • 54, want to lose 20 more (I have lost 20) but should lose 30 or 40 more! I eat between 1200-1500 calories a day and do not stress over it. Although I would like the weight gone tomorrow, it isn't going to happen that way, so I just live my life and eat in that calorie range. I do 20-60 minutes of exercise/activity at least…
  • That is awesome; you look great! I have lost 20 lbs, as well, this summer and my numbers are about 10 lbs heavier than yours. How long did it take you? Any special workout?
  • Hello! Yes, I like that idea as well! I do one or another of her videos about 5 times a week; they make me feel great and healthy as I continue this journey, which is never easy for me.
  • I love Leslie, as well. Her workouts work for me! They make me smile and feel good, and after doing them for 10 weeks and eating at a deficit I am seeing great changes in my body. Welcome and enjoy!

  • I have done several of her workouts and love them, but only one has really made me sweat even though it has nothing to do with me being in good shape at all  I think if you are consistent, though, you will be happy with the results. I feel it is something I can do for life!
  • You look great!! 29 pounds look good off you
  • That is awesome and just what I needed to read this morning. I had recently ordered several shirts and a pair of pants from ThredUP (used clothing on-line) in a smaller size (large) and received them yesterday. So this morning I was trying them on and everything was very snug; it discouraged me terribly. Honestly, reading…
  • I was swatting at a mosquito on my arm a few minutes ago and felt nice definition in my upper arm when my hand rubbed it! I had no idea that had emerged!
  • No cooking - that always set my nausea off, so I found myself eating not so good at times. I loved PB & J; during one pregnancy I ate a lot of cheese pimiento spread on either crackers or bread. As my "baby" is 22 now, it has been a few years ago! You will probably have to experiment to find the right food. Hopefully you…
  • I was looking thru past stories and came across this one on back fat which is a big issue for me and I want to say you all look terrific and are such an inspiration! This may just be the extra motivation I need!
  • Going with my husband on a business trip in late August wearing a size 12, I currently wear a comfortable size 14. That gives me about 7.5 weeks.
  • Yes! That has become much more of chore, now!
  • I have Gobstoppers, as well! I keep them in my desk drawer at work and have one or two throughout my day. They are a huge help in satisfying that desire to have a little something sweet and in my mouth.
  • Power toast - I made this for my children when they were at home: whole wheat toast spread with peanut butter, slice a banana on it, fill in the spaces with raisins then lightly sprinkle with cinnamon or cinnamon & sugar. My kids loved it and it stuck with them. They would drink either milk or juice, but as adults they…
  • I am a little late in the month setting my goals; I have two part-goals this month. First, to walk 60 miles, and second to get 10,000 steps each day. So far I have walked over 10,000 steps each day and I have walked two miles with Leslie each day and 1/2 mile outside each of the last two days! I am not sure I will walk two…
  • Same. First day back since mid-September.
  • I do not run. I have never liked it. My husband had a high school record for 20 years (!), our oldest son has a middle school record (he will be 30 in October), our youngest son has a high school record and Kansas State 2012 Gold Medalist in the 4 X 100 relay (he started the relay in the blocks, talk about a nervous mom),…
  • I went to a birthday party at a restaurant, ate a meal, had a piece of cake and was able to both NOT feel guilty and leave it at that - not continue eating, just picked up where I left off! Now that is a victory for me!:drinker:
  • Me too! I belong to a book club and just fake it at the end! I have not finished one single book we have selected! Luckily we meet only a couple of times a year.
  • Sylvia, so glad you went to dr, you had to be in pain! Lesley, you had me curious when you said you picked up more Linda McCartney items for lunch, I had to look it up! I had not heard of it before but had fun looking at the facebook page! I take my lunch everyday and struggle with what to take at times. Denise, Wichita
  • Hi everyone! What a beautiful late summer day in suburban Wichita we had! As a newbie I have to say I REALLY enjoy reading about your day and your lives - I am 52 and although all of our lives are a little different, there are real similarities. I am married, almost 32 years, and have four children: boy girl boy girl! We…
  • What a beauty you are! Good work - my dl needs renewed in January and you are inspirational!
  • Hi - my first time in this group; I look forward to the support and friendship as I (we) move along. My goals for September are: 1) prep flower beds and plant mums and peonies. 2) not gain weight this month. We are taking a trip to Mexico with friends and family, so just holding my own would be great. 3) be cheerful,…
