  • That my necklaces hang entirely differently! Wish I knew how much my neck has gone down!
  • You are adorable and have a great tummy! Congratulations!
  • My 35th wedding anniversary is this October, my goal is to fit into my wedding dress for re-creation pictures! I haven't tried it on, I think I am close!
  • @AnnPT77 Wow! First, thank you so much for this important message - yes, we all are on our journey for a normal weight, and being there brings so many health benefits with it, not just those we think of first such as cardiovascular health and diabetes, but also bringing down the risk of some cancers. Please - make time for…
  • Ok, this is a little awkward, but here it is: I had my annual mammogram this week, and the tech was behind the shield taking the image. She popped around it and asked if I had lost weight since last year; she said the images from last year looked like an entirely different person and she would have to explain why to the…
  • Most days I eat meat with a salad - to make it easy I choose an already prepared meat from the grocery store, there are so many options these days. I live and work away from any city, so I buy my food on the weekends, I tend to choose some type of frozen grilled chicken because I like it, but just look around; there are…

  • Congratulations!! You truly look amazing
  • I gave in this weekend as well...first time in 48 weekends. I think because I am having oral surgery tomorrow.
  • Yes, I have! I lost 50 lbs going from 190 to 139, I am 5'4" and 55 years old. I began last year on the Monday after Mother's Day in May, so around May 15th, 2016 and was down 45 lbs by the end of the year. I logged all my food faithfully eating about 1300-1500 calories for the first few months, then upped the calories to…
  • Congratulations!! Wonderful! You are, indeed, getting there. Btw...the "I am in control" revelation was key to my 50+lbs weight loss. It sunk into my thick head and has made all the difference...it is about ME! Keep up the great work and I am eager to see a follow-up post from you in a few months!
  • Hang in there and start fresh tomorrow! Those days happen; although I made my step goal, I was over almost 200 on calories. Certainly not the way I like it, I will do better tomorrow, though.
  • I am glad you started this, OP!! Very good info to know!
  • I don't follow her diets, but I have been using various workout videos of hers for 10 months. It has been my sole source of exercise. Along with following the calories suggested by MFP after completing my profile information, I have lost 50 lb, and have been on maintenance for the last couple of months. I just love her…
  • Happy St. Patrick's Day to my Irish friends! Looks like my parish here in the middle of the US (Kansas) will not be celebrating with indulging in any way. Enjoy your day! Must say after two weeks of lent: I miss candy!
  • Big change already! Keep up the great work! B)
  • Ha ha! I missed that post, but I am gonna give it a try!
  • I see a big difference already! Good job and keep at it :)
  • I have stayed with it and going strong this Lent...not that I don't want candy and to play FB games. Yesterday was my aunt's funeral, I did eat a little more than usual, still within my calories. I loved seeing my cousins and other aunts and uncles. Tomorrow I have a root canal at 7:00 AM! I am not looking forward to that.
  • Oh no! I will pray for your situation and strength thru it. We are here for one another.
  • I lost an aunt this week, tonight we had her rosary about 30 miles from where I live, so by time we drove there, had the vigil, visited with family and came home, I decided to just have a bowl of cereal. My calories are on the low side (not way low) and I have found myself snacking ever since. My calories will be well…
  • That is awesome; congratulations for completing this long, amazing, learning journey! My son is graduating from his Radiology Residency in June and starts his Breast Imaging Fellowship in July! Where is your son? Mine is in Omaha. You have a great mini-goal, btw!
  • I am impressed! My husband is giving up coffee, as well, I was not brave enough to try. Happy Lent to you!
  • I was unable to complete my work out today - only did about 10 minutes before we had a plumbing emergency at our house this evening, and I didn't freak out about either (not getting to finish my work or the plumbing issue)! It may sound silly, but that was one of my original goals: to be "ok" when life intervened with a…
  • I have logged for almost 300 days now, and it is so hard to log on days I overdo it, so I can totally relate. It feels good to be honest with yourself, though. Good luck and Happy Lent!
  • How did everyone do today? I logged faithfully, worked out, didn't eat any candy, but I did have an oatmeal raisin cookie after dinner and a cup of dry cereal (my favorite evening snack). While I am thrilled I didn't eat any candy (I only reached for it once), not sure I should have had the cookie, I normally would not…
  • For us in the US, it depends upon who our priest is! Some do "pause" for St. Patrick's day, but not usually. Our local parish is St. Joseph's and his day is March 19, so our priests tend to "pause" for St. Joseph!
  • The last 5 lbs! I will then have lost 55 lbs! Although I know it will take about 10 or 12 weeks. Oh well! Down, not up!
  • My family practices traditional US Catholic observances during Lent. Today has been tough - we just don't eat a lot on any day, any more, but we made it! Although we abstain from meat on Ash Wednesday and Fridays, I don't find it a sacrifice as we love meatless meals! I do consider Lent as a holy time of personal renewal…
  • Yay for you! Keep up the really great work!
