Count me in...I have less than 5lbs to lose and while that isn't the "idea" of lent, it is a motivating time and I can usually do better during lent. My goals are to log every food item everyday; workout for 30 minutes at least 4 times a week; and no candy (along with no meat today and on Fridays)!! I have gradually been…

Killing it at my daughter's elegant wedding this past weekend in a designer dress!

Staying the course - you will have bad days, good days and days in between forever! After a bad day, just move on! Also, my son who is an MD, said to me that what I eat is MY CHOICE! No one is forcing me to eat anything or not eat anything, It is just food and it is my choice. This has been one of the biggest factors for…

Yes...this has been my sole source of exercise; I change up which one I do almost daily including some of her toning and strength training. She really makes my body and mind feel great!

Thank you! MFP started me with a base of 1280, then of course, the activity calories added in each day of which I ate back about 1/2, maybe less at first. For the first three or four months I averaged about 1400 or 1500 calories a day, then I upped it to about 1500-1600 for the next three or four months, and for the last…

Always :) probably more than I should, I am seeing 100 - 200 calories a day, mine is more like 300. I may have to rein that in.

Although I do not do the same workout, I do dedicate 30 minutes four or five times a week as soon as I get home and change, before I do anything else. As a side benefit, it really helps me mentally transition from work-to-home (I know some people use commute time to do that, but I live only five minutes from my work).

My youngest daughter was the bride this last Saturday! Here is a picture of me and my two beautiful daughters!

You will! So many of my friends and acquaintances have asked my "secret" and of course there is none, except, I would say, just staying the course! Good days, bad days and days in between -they all will happen all of our lives, just stick with it!
-
Thank you, they are; they are my biggest cheerleaders along with my husband and sons!

Yes, I have those same experiences and feelings. People asking and reacting the same way; and me feeling uncomfortable about it. I don't know why on either part! :)

Not sure this is a "victory", but it just happened: after losing almost 50lbs I was walking across the lobby of my employment all the while feeling my underwear sliding down! This may be a long day :) Guess I should go shopping :)

I surpassed my original goal of 30lbs by 14lbs, so now I want to lose 6 more to make it an even 50! I would like to do it by Mother's Day since I started eating for the rest of my life on the Monday after Mother's Day last year!

Wow...you look great and have lost a lot! Congratulations!

You are right!! Thank you for getting the right site!

My "mini" mini goal is to look awesome in the slinky designer dress I bought to wear to my daughter's wedding on February 25th! I will post a picture. My other "regular" mini goal is actually looking ahead a little to my annual well-woman exam in May. Last May my exam triggered my journey, so I am excited to see my Dr, I…

I just ordered from http://threadup.com// again two nights ago! This makes my fourth or fifth order - most items have been perfect, only one pair of capri's were more like gaucho pants from the late 1970's! My favorite items have been two different pair of blue jeans...great way to stretch the clothing budget.

That moment when: I have gone through all the "thinner" clothes in my closet!

I haven't tried it, but my parents love it! My mom is in her mid 70's and my dad in his early 80's!

I have lost 50 pounds beginning in May 2016 by doing about .5 hour of cardio 6 days a week and eating at a deficit. A few times a week I will do light strength training or toning. I make sure to walk at least 10,000 steps a day - yes, I know it is not a "magic number" but it is the measure I use for myself.

How self conscious I am talking about my weight loss. I am a very public person in my very small community, and everyday two or three or more people comment on or ask about my weight loss. So far they have all been positive and friendly. I wear a size 8 down from a16 so the weight loss can't be missed, and I just feel…

Just one Lindt Truffle a day for lunch. Two of customers gave me bags of them for Christmas and I have not once eaten more than one a day :)
-
Yum!!! We eat them prepared in a variety of manners: most recently cooked in the microwave and drizzled with homemade chimichurri sauce. So very good.

Yay for you! It is a big deal!
-
That is terrific! Way to go!

I am the mother of a bride next month (Feb. 25, 2017) and the mother of a groom in October (10-21-2017)! I won't butt into your board, but I am sure hoping you will post wedding pictures! I so love seeing brides! Best wishes for love and happiness to all of you!

My mini goal is to lose 4 lbs and be under 140 lbs! I had not weighed in a while and today weighed in at 143.8, about 10 lbs less than I expected.
-
You look terrific! Keep it up, it is an ongoing process as you have discovered. My husband and two sons are your height - my sons weigh right about what you weigh and my husband about 10 lbs more, so personally I find that to be perfect for your height!

Fresh pineapple, chocolate candy, Angel Food cake, strawberries, Nacho Cheese Doritos, coffee, cream. Oh my gosh! I love those foods...my birthday is in two weeks, hope my mom makes me Angel Food cake and strawberries :)
-
I totally get this! Two of my customer gave me bags of Lindt Truffles for Christmas so I have been enjoying one each day with my lunch...so much more satisfying when I don't inhale five at a sitting! I actually taste the chocolate :)
