Hmmm kinda? I don't have wide or narrow hips. I am definitely not V shape like swimmer. I'd say I'm pretty proportional. I've got a big behind for sure but that goes to the back and thankfully not too much on the side. LOL I'll give it all I got and see what happens. I've done both and P90X Ab Ripper X gave me better results. I swear by it, it's awesome, I love it and hate it at the same time but it sure does work :) PS: I do it 3 times a week
