Homemade stir fry using olive oil and adding snow peas, broccoli, baby bella mushrooms, green peppers, onions, celery, one ounce of beef & one ounce of chicken.

I throw them in all of my stir fry (wok prepared) and have also eaten them with regular green beans cooked in the wok. Only need 1, 2 minutes with the olive oil so they are still fresh and crunchy.

Thank you for sharing.

I suffered from it off and on from 2001 until 2011. Fall 2010 I had my first cortisone injection, in the Spring of 2012 I had to go back for another and my ortho said the next time I called we were doing surgery. Had the surgery in September 2011 and because I had gone so long there was a lot of scarred/damaged tissue to…

I agree it is probably teriyaki sauce, but if you cannot find the restaurant in MFPs foods, try Livestrong, they have a huge database and may have it listed.

That is very key. Exercise. And if you don't exercise at all, just adding a brisk 20 minute walk a day may be what you need to jump start your loss again. I too am very busy, as are probably most people, I commute to work, I am pursuing a second college degree while working full time and supporting a kid in college but I…

Awesome job! I know you feel better too!

I totally second this!

41 and will be 42 next month.

I generally check to make sure it has at least 3 or 4 confirmations on MFP because some folks are seriously WRONG in their calculations. I also just prefer building my own "take out" calorie charts because for instance you may have no cheese on a food that comes with cheese and that throws it off. You are not alone though!

I work at a desk but use every reason to get up. I do not fax from my desk I get up and stand at the fax machine. I drink loads of water so I am constantly up to go to the bathroom and I always go to the one furthest from me. I do not smoke but since folks get 15 minutes smoke breaks I take a few minutes and walk down the…

Thanks I needed to know too!

Thanks and will do!

That is awesome and very encouraging for me! Thanks!

You are right in that it is the long run that really matters in health. I was feeling a bit discouraged because I have "bigger" friends than I that keep talking about weight that they've lost although they look just the same to me, while my pants are sagging in the front and back and my scale has only moved 2, 3 pounds. I…

Thank you. And you look great!
-
Thanks, I did measurements this week and will be checking once a month for progress. I think that will take some pressure off, not doing it every week.
-
Do NOT be embarrassed you have done what so many aspire to do. Kudos to you and do whatever you have to do to make yourself comfortable in your new "skin"

Thank you! I am also trying new types of cardio. I have a treadmill at home and go to the track. I have added the rowing machine this past month, gone back to using the elliptical machine and some weird machine that seems like an elliptical in reverse?

This weekend I am going to pick up a scale that does weight, water and body fat. GNC Acculndex GS-7004 Digital Weight and Body Mass Index Bathroom Scale

I have seen great results from people using P90X so I am sure you will do awesome. Um, what does NSV mean? lol
-
That is what I think I am going to do too! Thanks
-
Thanks for the suggestion, looking into one now.

I only gained 12 pounds but on a 5'4 frame it took me from average to chubby. Its all in my thighs, stomach and hips. By stopping body improvements do you mean just do cardio and stop the machines/weights?
-
At least you have lost 9 pounds, I am trying to catch up to you!
-
Thanks so much! Glad to know I am not alone in this boat :-)
-
Welcome I haven't been here that long but I love the accountability

I recently discovered the rowing machine at my gym and I LOVE IT! I have a treadmill at home and the Fitness Kinect on Xbox but I wish I could spend money on a rowing machine.
