Fixed your photos, had to change the IMG to lower case. Great job on the weight loss! You look great.

Tabata is awesome, painful and so rewarding all at the same time. You will hurt, curse and maybe pee a little on yourself but at the end of it you will love yourself. I usually pick 4 exercises and do 20 seconds on, 10 sec off for 8 reps with 1 minute rest in between exercises. Give it a try, you will love it!

As Runner's World usually puts it "bottom line is, hills make you faster". You need to get a structured training plan; I usually use the Hal Higdon intermediate plan. Go to McMillan running calculator and input your current pace (NOTE: use your current pace and not your desired pace) and try to run different training…

Both of those sound awesome! I will definitely try them. Thank you:flowerforyou:

Playtex Sport - super on heavy days, regular on light days. I have run anywhere from 10 to 20 miles and no problems at all. Tighter undies don't hurt either. I am with you on stopping the exercise; 7 days of no exercise is pure torture!!!

First off congratulations on your weight loss; you should be proud of all your achievements. Secondly, you will not gain muscle while eating at a deficit. You will have possible newbie gains when you initially start weight training but that is the extent of the gains. I would strongly advice you to start strength training…

I really have no time to pay attention to anyone else in the gym as I am busy trying to get my workout in. The only time I would look at someone funny is if they completely ignored basic gym etiquette or were being intentionally disruptive during my workout. You are paying for your gym membership so take advantage of it…

2 things I would advice - 1) go to a local running store and get fitted for proper shoes, this is truly important! Make sure it is a good and reputable running store 2) Start slow and build up over time. Do not concentrate on distance or speed at the moment, you just want to do your workout and finish it feeling nice and…

If it is general soreness from an earlier workout and I know that it will go away in a few days I pop an Ibuprofen before I go run. If however, my muscles are aching amd I know very well running will only aggravate them then I back off and cross train to see how they feel later. Just don't take an anti-inflammatory drug…

I am currently training for a half in February and use the Hal Higdon intermediate training plan since I have a goal time that I am trying to achieve. I tweaked the running days a bit so that; 1) I can cross-train three times a week with this schedule, doubling up workouts on certain days, 2) take two rest days a week and…

I treat my gym like you would a favorite pair of jeans; if it provides everything I want and is clean I will not leave. I was a member with my previous gym for over 4yrs and left only because they decided to increase the rates whilst cutting back on classes and closing the location nearest to me. So I said bye bye. I am…

If you have just started running speed should be the least of your concerns. Adding speed too soon & fast without having a solid base will just result in injuries that will sideline you for a while. Take it easy and build on endurance by running slow while increasing your time gradually. This will also help you if your…

Dressing for a winter run can be challenging! One thing to remember is that your body temperature goes up about 10 degrees from what the current temperatures are. Therefore when deciding what to wear and how many layers to put on, keep this in mind so you are always dressing up like the external temperatures were 10…

Ditto to what the above posts recommend (except the nipple one; that is mainly for guys! If you have a great sports bra you are all set:tongue: ) . I would strongly encourage that you first get fitted with shoes to avoid injuries. As you run try to relax your upper body and land mid-foot (although this could be hard…
