  • For me, it's chips and cookies. I don't have pictures of them so I have links to pictures instead. I know if I have one cookie or one chip, I'll eat the whole bag and then some. I'll just keep craving more and more.…
  • Day 5: What do you usually binge on? Do you have certain trigger foods? I binge on whatever is available, but mainly, chips, cookies and breads. Once I get going, I cannot seem to stop myself.
  • I love to snack on Fugi Apples. They are healthy and my Dr recommends apples and says they are filling. http://marisasugangga.byethost14.com/IMAGES/fuji-Apple.jpg
  • I just turned 48 a couple of weeks ago, but still feel much younger. I look younger, too. I keep hearing/reading people talking about Zumba. I cannot afford classes right now. Can any of you recommend a good dvd to try?
  • SW 183 lbs CW 183 lbs GW 125 - 130 lbs I'm new here, but I'm going to really work on changing my eating habits this month so hopefully see more weight loss.
  • I like Jillian Michaels shakes. she has Triple Chocolate and Vanilla shakes. They are inexpensive and delicious. I make them into smoothies.
  • I have 6w6p and yoga meltdown and neither involve jumping. Well, 6w6p has burpees where you do jump but that's it. I am currently doing 6w6p and really enjoy the workouts. I like it better than the shred. I am wrapping up week 3. Will start week 4 level 2 on Monday. You get great workouts from both dvd's and neither is…
  • Day 3: What do you define as a binge? My compulsion to eat food w/o necessarily being hungry (boredom, anxiety, stress, depression). I just keep eating and eating until I feel sick. I feel I have no control over my binges. I just have that strong urge to stuff my face.
  • I suggest that you read Steve Harvey's book: Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man. He speaks from a man's perspective. Interesting book. You can get it off of amazon.com or at your local library Amazon's description is found here: Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man Movie Tie-in Edition: What Men Really Think About Love,…
  • I will be at my goal weight: between 125 - 130 lbs and wearing a new wardrobe.

  • Day 1: Why are you doing the 50 day binge free challenge? First and foremost, I really want to kick the binging habit. I no longer want to use food as a comforter (stress, depression, anxiety and/or boredom) I want a normal relationship with food. I want to begin losing weight again. To feel good about myself! (My self…
  • Hi im Tina and I stumbled on this group and decided to give it a try. Binging has been a real problem for me for a long time, especially at night when I am bored, anxious and/or depressed. Lately, I haven't lost any weight due to this miserable problem I have. Hopefully, I can learn to kick the binging habit and finally…
  • I'll have to take a look at level 2 and see what it's all about. This is my last week of level 1.
  • Wow! I really appreciate all the responses to my post and glad to know that I'm not the only one who indulges in treats daily or once in a while. Like many of you say, as long as I stay within my calories, I should be fine. Eating a treat is better than binging. That's for sure.

  • I too love Subway, but the sodium OMG! I don't eat there too often. a small 6" sub has the amt of sodium that is close to our daily recommended of 2500. Once in a blue moon can't hurt, but dawningr is right about drinking lots of water. Subway isn't healthy like many may think it is.
  • Tonight I ate a butterfinger and it fit under my daily calories so I got to enjoy one of life's indulgences.

  • Hi, I know what you mean. I have worked hard only to lose it on a single binge or two. This has been why my weight loss has been so slow lately. I have read on other threads that other activities can help replace binges like reading, taking a bath, taking a walk, exercising, etc. Anything to get you out of the kitchen!…
  • Is there a crisis clinic or a hotline you could call for referrals? Here in the USA, we have 911 for emergencies and various phone numbers for hotlines with people to talk to. I hope someone from the UK will be able to help you. A lot of time, doctors are too quick to send you away with pills w/o really listening to you.…
  • Arthur's story is so inspiring. Thanks for sharing. He beat incredible odds. Wow!
  • You still lost 13 lbs which is pretty darn good in 2 months. This journey is not easy. I know it's taken me a while to lose weight and keep it off. Everyone is different. You can always take it up another notch if you like.

  • We need to support one another on this journey which can be difficult much of the time. We need support and encouragement to keep going and to keep strong. and you are right, Gwenmf, we need to motivate and support each other.
  • Wow, excellent article. I can really relate to this young man's plight with anxiety, but it's not crippling him. Having a good support system is important.
  • I too understand your struggle as I am a shorty, too. I am 5' 3/4" well 5'1 and weigh 184 lbs. I am medium structure. I carry most of my weight in my stomach area and struggle to stay at 1250 cals daily. My GW is between 125 - 130 lbs.
  • chips and sweets
  • Like both of you, I look forward to self confidence and a sexier me. I want to be able to wear smaller sizes than an 18 as well. I want to feel good in my own skin and be healthier. Charz612, I second all the reasons you stated above. Getting there is the hard part. This journey is not easy.
  • blueboxblues, what a tremendous difference in the before and after photos! You look great! Amanda, alternating is cool as I get bored too with the same thing. I am on week 3 of 6w6p and ready for level 2 next week. On my off days, I do her other dvds.
