Sorry I have to agree with the others here. Congratulations on getting to where you want to be, but you did look perfectly healthy before and now you look worryingly skinny. Instead of looking to maintain the lowest possible weight, why don't you make it your next project to gain some of it back but tone it beautifully so…

Wow you've done amazingly Misty! Well done and thank you for sharing your experience :)

That's a great analogy! Thank you. I will get my chin up and head to the gym then :)

Welcome!!! Quite a few wedding ladies on here, some are in my friends if you want a peek :)

For what it's worth, I have PCOS but I've never even considered that on my own particular weight loss journey. It means I have to work that much harder to lose the same amount of weight as everyone else, but I don't see my weight loss particularly affected by the PCOS and I won't allow it to be affected. I am 5 foot 6 and…

A lot of people on here will tell you to eat back all your exercise calories, as MFP sets your target calories at a rate calculated to help you lose weight anyway. So the reasoning is sound there, and does definitely work for some people. However I tried this approach and got nowhere. I had a total of 100lb to lose overall…

Looks amazing! I might join you. I noticed on the walk home the other day, there is a new butcher near us selling goat. Quite fancy that too :)

I love Body Pump! Keeps me motivated, makes me sweat but I always feel great afterwards. Well done on qualifying!

You look fantastic- well done you, you are going to look amazing at your wedding too. Proof this works, if any were needed!

I did the same as you a few weeks back but if you keep logging, and keep vowing to be good, it will come back. I'm now back down to my lowest weight since starting on MFP back in November and totally into it again. I find taking exercise helps- if I do a strenuous workout in the gym I feel completely 'high' and motivated…

Beautifully written Doodles  I recognise quite a lot of what you wrote about in me and you have articulated it really well- thank you x

I rarely eat many, if any, exercise calories. However I do eat a MINIMUM of 1200 calories a day and make sure those are as healthily-balanced as possible. This is very important to keep the energy levels high and your body ticking over. I think so long as you are doing that you can bank the extra calories rather than…

Whip up a tomato salsa sauce and serve over the grilled chicken breasts. Just reduce down 1 tin tomatoes; 1/2 pint veg stock; 1 chopped softened onion; a dash of tabasco; a dash of worcester sauce (or whatever other nice spicy bits you have in your cupboard). Add some chilli or chilli flakes if you want, plus pepper (no…

I would say, as I say a lot, that I trialled eating back all my exercise calories over a three week period. I gained back both weight and inches. Yikes. I have now gone back to working at a bigger deficit, albeit still eating a minimum of 1300 calories a day and making those calories as healthy as possible, and the weight…

Definitely the second one- the first will wrinkle and look tired easily whereas the second will look fabulous even after eating, dancing etc. Also the lines of the second are softer, which is more romantic/feminine than the first

After exercise one tin of tuna, simply mixed with a dessertspoon of low fat mayo and some cracked black pepper and eaten with a spoon, is a fantastic protein source. I then have a carton of low fat soup (various flavours) which has a good balance of everything.

Id suggest that a Wii Fit is, above anything else, a game (albeit a healthy one) whereby scales are designed for accuracy. Scales will always win out.

I think different things work for different people. I rarely eat exercise calories back and try not to, most of the time. My weight loss has been steady since November and both my doctor, and the trainers at my gym, tell me it's OK not to but that I can if I want. I eat around 1250 calories a day and that is a good mix of…

I think if you have your carb/protein/fat balance set to a sensible level and you remain within those guidelines you have nothing to worry about. Totally carb free is too difficult and (in my view) unhealthy. You can have bread so long as you try to stick to wholemeal, whole grain etc and cut it down. Heck, you could…

I agree with Bunnysone I do eat some exercise calories back but only if I am hungry. On occasion I can burn up to 3000 extra calories a day through exercise, and I think eating most or all of that back would be ridiculous. So if I can 'bank' some or all of those calories I see no harm, and I am losing weight steadily plus…

Works for me, for now.

LOL! Very good point and I'll confess I agree too

Well done Nic I'm sure you can do it for your wedding! Good luck with it and if it all starts getting a bit too much, you know where to come for support from people who share your pain! x

Writenina, every town will have a number of fish and chip shops. The ones to look out for are the ones which don't have a lot of pre-cooked food hanging around under hot lamps. The danger with these is a) the food is chewy, and b) always gives me terrible heartburn. The best chippy in our area cooks everything, including…

I think Silver_Lining means 'chips' as opposed to 'confectionery' or 'crisps'. This is what you would normally buy from a chip shop and what would normally go with fish  OMG Silver_Lining, the chips in that picture look AMAZING!

Amazing! My numbers are very similar to yours except I am only about half way there. You are proof that I am doing the right thing and my goal is completely achievable! Thank you :)

It depends how you are doing it. Cutting out carbs altogether is bad news. But lowering them is not. I have cut out most of the carbs I used to eat regularly (bread, especially white bread, pasta, rice). But I am eating a LOT of salad and vegetables which all contain carbs, as does some dairy. I am eating a small portion…

...I should add to the above that you need to season to taste with pepper and a little salt too :)
