One day wont make that much difference over the long run. It's how you do over a week/month that counts. Besides, trying to exercise back over 3,000 calories in one hit would be a marathon task. Go for a ride by all means, but don't try and get all those calories back in one go. Just chalk it up to experience and move on…

Normal Ready Brek with protein powder mixed into the milk before adding to the oats. That way you can have any flavour or combo of flavours you want.

Au contraire my good man. It's a universally accepted truth that the third series is by far the weakest and besides the first series had Brian Blessed in it, therefore making it awesome by that mere fact alone.

Black Adder (All of them, but in this order, 2,4,1,3) Red Dwarf Fawlty Towers Only Fools and Horses Last of the Summer Wine, because I'm from there.

Lift heavy, eat less!! Oh sorry, I thought that was the answer to everything on MFP. Maybe Lift heavy, drink less?

Ah ha, Gandhi's revenge, or sometimes called Delhi Belly. I couldn't live without curries, my favourite food ever.

It's expensive but Swordfish has a slight chicken like texture to it. Shark does too but I won't ever have that now.

One thing to take into consideration is that you have to pay a monthly subscription to use the BodyMedia, otherwise it's pretty useless.

I put mine in with my Ready Brek every morning before pouring on the hot milk

Anything that drowns out the hideous dance/techno crap that the gym plays non stop. I think they only have the one CD. The more aggressive the better. So plenty of Slayer, Pantera, Machine Head and the like. Just have to remember not to sing along too loud with some of the very aggressive songs.

Try and get some heat to the muscles. Hot water bottle, get the blood flowing.

Haven't you gone to your doctors yet?

Why not log brushing your teeth or combing your hair? Unless you live in a pig sty and have never cleaned your house before this is something that you've always done and yet you still gained weight. Logging it now doesn't suddenly miraculously make it exercise and a new valuable part of your healthier lifestyle. Sorry for…

I quit 13 days ago and have definitely noticed an increase in my appetite. Rather than try to suppress those urges I decided to just exercise more so I can eat what I want anyway, within reason obviously. I'm noticing a few subtle differences in how I feel already but can't really put my finger on anything in particular.…

I'm on my 13th day of not smoking today. I'm taking the cold turkey approach too, no substitutes or replacements other than normal sugar free chewing gum and finding it hard, but the reward is just so much better than any craving I'm having in the long run. I was on about 17 or 18 a day when I was smoking and the hardest…

I'd definitely suggest starting off with just bodyweight exercises. No equipment to buy and there's plenty of exercises available online for free to try out.

Sounds like fun but I have admit that I'm a postman and regularly do over 5 miles a day and 10,000 steps whilst working. So not really sure it'd be fair entering.

I suffer from something called Forward Head posture and as such have to make a conscious effort to ensure I keep my head and shoulders pushed back as often as possible. When I do this I look like everyone else, but it feels so unnatural and awkward. Hopefully over time it'll become second nature and not feel so weird.

So this isn't about what Italians do in the shower then? Very disappointed.

From Gods own country, Yorkshire! Now living in Essex, I would say it's a lot drier down here but not so today.

I'm no expert but have been reading up a lot of about HRM's as I really like the idea of one. The one thing that everyone seems to agree on is that they are no use for tracking calories burned whilst lifting weights. Excellent for cardio exercises like running, cycling etc but they wont give you an accurate count for when…

Feel free to have a nosy if you want to see a poor example of what to do.

There's no way you'd get thighs like Sir Chris Hoy by cycling alone. Just like you couldn't get an upper body like a 100 meter sprinter by just running.
-
You can't!! There's no way to reduce fat in certain areas over others.

Strength training Mon/Tues and Thurs/Fri with Cardio on Weds and Sat. I also do a little cardio on my strength days too, but keep it short to ensure my energy goes towards the weights.

Would make for an explosive workout!

Protein shake and a banana so it balances out the carbs and protein. I've actually started taking them with me to the gym and have them both while getting changed afterwards. Whether or not having them so soon after a work out has any real significant benefit is a mystery, but it can't hurt.

The sugar recommendation is really there for the bad refined sugars that you find in processed foods, sugar from fruit is fine, unless you go way overboard.
-
You could try doing some squats with a rucksack filled with stuff from the kitchen cupboard to add weight to it. There's plenty of bodyweight exercises you could do and an enormous amount of tutorials online on youtube.

Look at the name of this specific board. Motivation and Support. Some of the responses I've seen here are neither motivational or supportive. Someone new signs up to MFP and see's all the success stories and all the congratulation those people receive. They decide to ask a question and get shot down immediately by the…
