  • I'm sorry about your condition and so glad that you could find a solution! And you motivate me to walk more, because you wanted to do it so much, even if it hurt.
  • You could do this way: Day 1: eat what you pre-logged, nothing more even if Fitbit says you have earned 200 extra calories. Day 2: eat what you pre-logged, plus the extra calories. Day 3: eat the extra calories of the previous day. And so forth. How many extra calories? I have a Fitbit and I never eat back those calories.…
  • Isn't 43% body fat on a 68kg, 5'5" woman a bit too much? I thought it would be around 30%, maximum 35%.
  • He means the intervals between meals (3.30, 5.00, 6.30)
  • I do 18:6, I start eating at 11 a.m. It's great, I don't feel hungry the rest of the day. The only problem is that I have been on 1200 calories, recently I added 200 (because it motivates me to walk at least 10km a day), but til now I haven't been able to eat 1400 cal on a 6 hours window. On monday I start 5:2.
  • I have a question for those that wrote that they march in place. Is it the same as walking? Same calories? I tried it, while watching something, but half an hour of it tired me more than a 10km walk.
  • You'd better weigh everything else as well.
  • Hi, I am not sure if you are only worrying about your crazy scale or if you have been experiencing a stall. It seems to me that you have been doing a great job, I would keep doing what you are doing with 1500 calories and, only if you don't lose anything in 4 weeks, try to lower them by 50/100. About the sudden fluctuation…
  • I think I am the only person here who skips dinner. I have my last meal around 4/5 p.m. I don't get hungry in the evening.
  • But are you using a food scale and weighing everything? Including the treat meal.
  • I think this is the best advice to give to people who are on maintenance.
  • Be sure you are weighing all the food with a scale, be sure you are in a deficit. If you are doing everything correctly and not overestimating your calories, you might try a few tricks, like eating at maintenance for a week or two, or IF 5:2 (2 days a week you only eat 500 calories, the other 5 days you eat at…
  • Yes, it could be because of the sudden food restriction. Just to be safe, you should have your blood tested, if you keep feeling exhausted, it might be low hemoglobin. If it is because of the diet you could either give yourself time to adjust to this new regime, or you could calculate your TDEE and cut off 200 calories and…
  • If you are talking about the app (on the ipad for example), I don't know! I can't either! But you can easily from a computer. Just go on the message and you should see "reply".
  • If it makes you feel better to avoid certain foods, do it, but unless you have a particular condition it is not necessary to avoid anything. Be careful not to end up binging on those foods, because of the self-imposed restriction.
  • Welcome! As the previous poster said: start by using a (digital) food scale and weigh every single food you eat. It takes time, so don't be impatient. And consider that most people need to keep track of what they eat for the rest of their lives, if they want to keep off the weight. How much do you have to lose?
  • You can't use a single day to determine that. You can calculate it pretty accurately though, during a period of several months, by keeping track of how many calories you eat and how much you lose every week.
  • I feel you. :( I even fainted two times because of the pain, one time while I was on the plane!
  • Yeah, it annoys me as well. I have food listed that I have eaten 2/3 years ago. I can't remove them.
  • I do 18:6 and I absolutely love it. Starting the 5:2 soon.
  • Hi, congratulations! Consider that breast feeding consumes calories, so be careful not to eat too little. You could start by setting MFP for the minimum weight loss available and, for now, get used to log all your calories. Don't eat less than 1500/1800 calories. This is, of course, just my opinion, wait to hear what…
  • I don't work-out because I can't anyway now, but I wouldn't do it during my period (I am in too much pain). Feel bloated: it's uncomfortable but normal, nothing to do about it. I resist the hunger and stick to my MFP plan. I guess maybe trying to fit some chocolate into the calories budget would be a good idea. :)
  • Many episodes had a great plot, but, no, I never felt involved. :( I agree about Capaldi, he is an amazing doctor, I just wished the "general mood" was different. Mostly the dialogues and the climax of the episodes.
  • Oh, sorry then, I considered the 8th the "new" season. I loved DW until the 4th season, after that it was sometimes ok, most of the times "meh". I think Moffat is an excellent screenwriter (Coupling is one of my favorite sit-com), Capaldi a great actor, but after season 4 I never felt involved in the episodes.
  • The new season is on Netflix. Or maybe just in my country. Talking about the new Doctor Who, Tennant is my favorite as well. :) (But I loved 9th!)
  • I log everything to the point of obsession, I have always done it when I used MFP. I skip the same things you mentioned though, lettuce and tea. Oh, and my vitamins and iron. If I put 11g of olive oil instead of the 10g I logged, I go on the app and add them.
  • The one in the image I painted personally, but the original is not mine, it's an old poster of Doctor Who.
  • I am so geek that I even choose geeky stuff as subject for my paintings. Hello fellow geeks.
  • We didn't have Peanut Butter in my country, so I never ate it until I was 18. Then I moved to the U.S. and I could finally taste it. First time it disgusted me, second time I loved it, third time it became an addiction. Peanut butter and Strawberry jam is so delicious. Well, now you can find it in every country (I think),…
  • To answer your question: no, it's not a big deal. I don't really see a reason to restrain yourself from eating carbs anyway. To help you with the impulsive eating (that could lead to over-eating) I suggest you pre-log everything the day before. Of course you might have to make some change (grams wise), but it usually helps…
