The first 2-3 weeks you will lose a lot of water weight along with the lbs you are lossing. After the "honeymoon" phase you should slow down to a more reasonable rate.

Welcome and good luck. Feel free to friend me.

Where you standing, sitting? was the leg you where measuring flexed, unflexed? did you bend over while doing the measurement? Did you put all of your weight onto the one leg while you measured? these are all things that can alter a measurement.

It is so easy to tell some else they should quit. To do so is a HUGE leap into the unknown, and is one of the scariest things to do. Just ask my husband, he quit his job almost 3 years ago after being misrable for years. He is almost done with school now but it has been a rough road. We both know that it was the right…

I have been having the same issue myself. I work night shift 10 hour nights, I also work as a Fill in at a clinic in town. Normaly the clinic job is very very occasinal until...one of my coworkers broke her leg. So now I do my night shift job than go over to the clining job and work another 3-4 hours. I was going to Zumba…

Insanity has alot of floor moves and push-ups, where as Turbo Fire is more standing work. Turbo Fire will get your heart rate up and get you huffing and puffing but not as much as insanity.

My baby is a 10.5 year old blue great dane. I love her very much and am going to miss her when she is gone. :(

You can do this, just take one step at a time.

The first Quote is right. The second is just a little misinformed. Red blood cells last for about 120 days in the human body. At which point the body will recycle the iron in those cells, and use the iron to make new Red blood cells. The Red blood cells that are lost through bleeding, of any kind, can not be recycled, iron…

I is great that you have decided to make a change for the better. Being diabetic is a hard thing to live with, and has huge health impacts, as you know. You can of doing this!! Take it one step at a time and try not to get too overwhelmed.

I am 5'9" and large framed. My end goal weight is 165 lbs, when I get there I might change my mind depending on how my body respones to losing the weight. I will always be apple shaped I just want a lot less of it.

Lots of streching. I have "chronic" shin splints because my muscles and tendons in my calfs are too short. Stand on a step with the ball of you foot and drop your heel down one at a time and hold for 20 seconds repeat several times before and after working out...and randomly through the day if you can.
-
It sucks being an apple shape. I gain 90% in the middle, with no hips to speak of.

I work night shift 9 pm till 7 am, 7 days on 7 days off. Eating is always a strugle. Most of the time I will eat with my husband when I get up, this ends up being my biggest/most calorie meal of the day. I try and eat every 3-4 hours to help keep me from having a energy crash. Then I eat my cereal when I get home in the…

I think one of the best things you can do is start to log you food. Log you food they way you are eating now for a week. than go back and look and see where you can start to make changes. Be honest with what you are eating and how much, you might even find that just beacuse you have to log what you eat that you will start…

Its not easy for 99% of people, we all have to work hard at it. Its about making better choices, and the better choices are never the easy or convenient ones.

Baked goods, love me some cake and brownies. Also I work third shift so I eat crappy when I am tired...which is alot of the time.
-
I work thrid shift so this is a constant problem for me. I have been eating baby carrots late in the day/night, I think the high fiber keeps me feeling full. there is also a natural sweatness from the carrots. I also try and eat frequent small meals to help keep my blood sugar more stable.

WOW aTSH of >100 how did you function? Mine was 13 and I slept all the time, Great Job!!

I would talk to your endocrinologist before you get the scan. You might not need it now, unless your thyroid gland is currently enlarged.
-
and people wonder why we are a society of obese people, its cheaper and more convenient to by fat.
-
are you on any type of insulin? I have a hard time controling my food, I am not diabetic but I do think I am sugar sensitve, that or a sugar addict. I have a 3 year old niece that was diagnosed earlier this year and it is a huge learning curve. I found having a bag of mixed nuts in my purse helps because I can grab a…

You can't cure diabeties you can control it but not cure. (by this I mean diet and exerscie is the best thing you can do to help it but if you gain the weight back you will have the same issue that you had before, its never really gone just under control) With stomach stappling you have to eat such small amounts of food…
