I think this is where I'm getting confused by MFP vs what I'm reading. So you're saying that so long as I consume 1200, I can still exercise and not eat those calories burned? See I was under the impression that my net calories after eating and exercising is what shouldn't go under 1200. One the one hand we have the…

Well, I am short, I guess. I'm 33 and 5'4" and yes other than exercise, pretty sedentary. I'm a computer geek at home and have a desk job. No kids to run after, no dog to walk, etc. The tool says that my BMR is currently 1774. I know the platitudes....slow is better. I know. But after 12 years I finally hit that place…

I am just overly concerned with being as accurate as possible in determining my calories in and calories out. I need some health treatments and before I can get them I need to be well, not morbidly obese. So I really want to try and stick to the 2 pounds a week as much as possible, and thats the calorie level I chose. But…

Ahh silly Polar, fat chicks want to exercise too! Yeah the Polar bras are way far out of my league, or I should say, way under. Poo. Ok based on all the responses I think that today I a: wore it too low and b: it wasn't snug enough. Can I just say how badly I do NOT want to go shopping for a sports bra? LOL Regular bra…

Thanks for the input. I'd consider myself to be fairly unfit - I'm certainly getting better, but at 245 with fibromyalgia I'm no spring chicken here. MFP warns you not to go too low, and so perhaps I'm taking that to heart too much. If it gives me the warning when I've gone under 1200 (my w/out exercise limit is 1280),…

Well it's steamed, so therefore there is no sauce.....that's why I got it. Steam = no sauce, no oil, lower sodium (i assume). It's not the tastiest thing, in fact I hated it when I got it once, but since I'm adding it to my kinda-bad lo mein......lol balancing out the evil I guess ;)

You can get different colors, but this was all that CVS had on a day where I *needed* headphones and my only pair were locked in my car which was at the repair shop.…

A blog I read, Skinny Emmie, mentioned this pedal exerciser. For me personally, I'm willing to spend a lil more to get something a lil better. So I was thinking of this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000KE8ASK?ie=UTF8&tag=dangerouslill-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B000KE8ASK I wouldn't…

And yeah, I just googled for this info :) I wasn't playing all that long, maybe 15 minutes? I'm def sweating a little and was out of breath. Granted, yes, I'm out of shape :) No clue what I'll put it in as, though. Won't be getting my HRM for another week or so.

Thanks for the answers so far!! I'm looking at the Polar site and WOW am I overwhelmed. I assume the Water-resistant 30M means I'm ok to use it in the pool? I'm not seeing photos of the body/chest strap thats included for these so I'm not sure if it's the smaller-plate one you guys are recommending. Do these take your…

Wow guys thank you. I never freakin knew that buying a heart rate monitor would help give calorie burned counts. Yay! Which one do you two use?
