I don't drink anymore. It's never done anything but BAD for me. There's no need to make excuses; it's just smart. Life is much easier without alcohol. I know a lot of athletes who work out so they can drink. In fact there's a nearby track club called "The Thirsty Irish Runners"......THAT'S NUTS!!! But, hey, being sober…

Nice to see a non-drinking topic here, instead of the usual "how to drink and not gain too much weight" topic. Sober and fit is the way to go.

It's my "bluesman" name.

I have a gym membership for those days when it's snowy, or just too cold; but I prefer to ride all year round. Yesterday was 50 degrees and windy (not bad at all); and I have plenty more layers to put on when Winter gets here.

I'm in for November. It's getting cold here in the Northeast so you have to squeeze the miles in while you can. 97 miles so far. If I can keep up THAT pace, I'll have 970 miles for the month........(Fraid not !).

I'd like to match (beat) last year's total of 3600 miles, and am only 200 miles from the target. With more than two months left in the year I feel pretty confident. NO SNOW, PLEASE !!!!

About 9 hours...From Cape Cod to Virginia to see Dave Davies (of The Kinks). In fact, followed the whole tour. Kinks fans are Krazy that way!!!

Riding in the clouds!....well, not really... Not unless you think heavy fog is clouds that are on the ground. A damp 30 miles.

Glad to see a few cyclists here. So far, I have 253 miles on the roads of Cape Cod in October. The weather is still nice, so I'm hoping to ride right thru the winter.
