  • There are some additional products through external sites that have various Fitbit holders... I think one was even a pocket for the shoes! Try Etsy... they might have something for that cause you're not the first to have the "I'm carrying a child" issue with tracking.
  • I started with an Ultra, then moved onto a Flex. I had my first flex for well over a year when the charging dock stopped charging it. I called customer service, the recommended a cleaning (which unfortunately didn't work) and then immediately sent me a replacement which I wear everywhere but the shower (honestly, how many…
  • As a recent finder of 5ks, let me tell you this...Yes you do need to prepare and yes you do need to train... but the adrenaline when you first get there will push you through. Before my first run I was super nervous.... the farthest I'd ever run on a treadmill was 2 miles, and that was at a snail's pace. I worried that I…
  • You are GLOWING! Congratulations on your journey! AMAZING!
  • I saw my shadow, but I wasn't upset cause DAMN it looked good! A lot better than a year ago, that's for sure! :-D
  • Someone might have mentioned this (I didn't read through every post) but you can also try eccentric pushups. Start in the up position and get your form right, then slowly lower yourself as slowly as you can towards the floor while staying in good form. If you collapse... no prob. Take a breather for a halfstep then get up…
  • So, I'd like to do this too, but I will respond to the original OP as far as some advice. Take it or leave it, I normally don't do "advice" but I will tell you what has been working for me. It's a long, tedious, boring procress (as most weight loss is!). *Log everything and see where you are going over, calorie wise.…
  • Maybe change your diet up? Body could just be tired of the same old things.... Change up your diet and your routine while still staying at a calorie deficit and see if that helps :)
  • http://www.fitbit.com/user/23TKX9 I could use the accountability. :) Add me i fyou'd like. I don't wear my FitBit as regularly as I should. But I love it!
  • I have the ultra, and for awhile I was sleeping with it but after seeing the same thing night after night (i.e., the same pattern) I eventually just left it charging overnight. BUt I try to wear it ALL the time.... if I'm close to a milestone for the day I push myself a little more. So it helps me be more active.
  • My trainer said your form should be flawless for your first 2-3 reps... then it should get a little harder and almost very difficult at the end. THAT is your ideal weight :) Everyone's different though :)
  • Ahh! Gaming! I'm a recent gamer but really only one mmorpg.... Rift. BF plays wow and I tried it but Rift really appealed to me. Luckily it's very hard to snack while you're playing, but my calories come from drinking.... so I keep a bottle of water nearby at all times. :)
  • Doesn't answer all your questions, but crunches are great regardless of where you are in your weight loss. You're building muscle in your core.... Once you lose weight you'll start to see the definition of the crunches. Til then, you're just building some wicked muscle there. I have had some serious back issues and some of…
  • I knew it was over when I had spent the last 6 months in a new city looking for a place for us, and two hours before we were going to sign the lease I get a text that says "I'm feeling angry and depressed" or something along those lines. I made him drive two hours to tell me to my face he didn't want to move in with me,…
  • OH YAY! I love this story and will go down as the single worst date I've ever been on. I"ll try to keep it as short as possible but... we'll see how that goes. Some backstory. In middle school I met this guy who ended up dating a friend of mine for however long middle school kids "date." Fast forward about 4 or 5 years,…
  • As almost every one had said, that was a totally ****ty post and not in the spirit of "My Fitness 'Pal'" Who'd want a friend like you? Although I did notice that you pre-emptively got defensive and listed all of YOUR struggles down as a way of throwing in people's faces that "i've had it soooo hard wahaa whaaawhaaa but I'm…
  • My boyfriend, trying to help... "Well, you know you shouldn't be eating stuff like that..." Two hours later: "Let's go get pizza." EDIT* Had another one. I have a friend doing a different diet... the whole "shake in the morning shake in the afternoon" Bull**** (no offense, but in the end it's all bull****) Me: "Yeah! i'm…
  • I've been saying I'm going to do a 5k in February... myfirst. BUt I've been putting off signing up cause I've had a bad week and I'm afraid I've fallen off the wagon. I'm going right now to sign up for it. And I'm going to do it. Thank you for being an inspiration. You have no idea how much it means....
  • Very very awesome!!! Congrats!
  • Not TO me, but about a friend of mine: Apparently, because he hangs out with me, he's known around work as "The Pig Farmer" *sigh* And I have to look these people in the eyes everyday knowing they think that about me. What makes me sad is seeing how many posts there are in this thread.....
  • From my understanding, the fitbit has gone through a bit of a change. For example: In my job I am walking a LOT. So when I signed up for MFP, I put "moderately active" in my settings to get the estimated number of calories I burn per day. Everyone has their set number of calories they burn everyday if they do NOTHING other…
  • To answer your question... Yes, I have a fit bit and yes I have it linked with MFP. I love it... i'm a tad competitive so trying to "beat out my high score" is a little game I like to play (aka, beating my personal best in steps, active score, floors climbed, etc) For me, it was well worth the 100 I paid for it... It helps…
  • I hear ya girlfriend! That's my 100 pound reward when I get there.... a "normal" photo shoot with a friend of mine and a budoir shoot. But good on you for sticking to it... injury and all. If the machines are too hard for you, walk! That's what I have to do sometime because of my knee.... Like you said, any excercise is…
  • FANTASTIC! Stick to it! You've done it once, you can do it again!!!
  • Not into Harry Potter and all that... BUT I am a closet mmorpg player... :-P Rift, ftw! Save a Panda, buy Rift :)
  • Sacramento as well! Feel free to add me!
  • You should look into Visalus. I took it to my doctor cause I wasn't ready to get into some sort of new diet thing (and to this day I only drink it every once in awhile) but it's so versatlie and becoming very popular (plus it's part of a direct selling thing so you could also make some money on it!) It's a sweet cream…
  • Sacramento, CA. Davis, to be exact. :-)
  • I am in love with the barcode scanner! If you have an iphone (not sure what else it works on, but i'm sure someone knows) then you can just scan the barcode of the food you're eating and it will automatically upload. It was a little tedious at first cause I had to do it for everything and adjust the serving sizes I was…
