People at my gym average about 12 pounds a month...but they work their tooshies off I don't know if it is heathly though...I would say that loosing it slowly is a better way to keep it off. I am lucky if I get 6 pounds a month...but it stays off. JUST BE HEATHLY!!!

Also pick the right foods for your cals. By that I mean you can eat alot more of lets say fresh strawberries than cookies. It's like getting more for your buck. I actually do this. I was WAY to obsessed with the scale and a friend of mine weigh in every two weeks. We set a goal for that time period. I would love to do this with you. I am picky too. All I do is still eat that same food pretty much, just WAY less. I also eat more veggies than the main dish. After you log for a while you will drop alot of you old ways. When you are aware of how many cals you are sacrificing for a certain food, you will drop it. I don't deprive myself of homemade cookies…

This is the first I have read of someone going over in cals and then making up for it the next day. That does seem a little silly!
