  • Hi Tesha! Congrats on your new baby! Motherlove is a great brand and it's really helped me bring my supply back up. Also, drinking lots of water and oats help tremendously. If you don't like oatmeal, try putting it in other things like smoothies or baked goods. Lactation cookies are great and you can make them too.
  • Hi, depending on whether your nursing or pumping, the average calories burned per day is usually 300-500. However, if your pumping, you can add it up by 20 calories per ounce. If you have any questions, you can add me or message me!
  • Oats boosts my supply sooo much!!! I eat it everyday! Sometimes I'll even put it in my smoothies with flax and chia seeds for a boost.
  • Hi! I'm sorry for not responding sooner. A lot has been going on in my family lately. Eating 300-500 extra calories is definitely important, as well as staying hydrated. Don't forget that other things can effect your supply, like stress. My supply dropped drastically around Thanksgiving since we had family over and lots of…
  • Hi Amy! I usually add an extra 500 calories a day to account for breastfeeding my little one.
  • Hi, so sorry for being absent!!! Sick baby, then everyone else got sick, and a family member in the hospital. It's been crazy! Anyone still active?
  • Welcome, Larissa!! Congrats on your beautiful baby girl and for breastfeeding her this far! That's awesome! You can do it. There is a discussion board on our group page about increasing milk supply with a few links for information if you need it. You got this!
  • Hi! Thanks for joining my group! My baby is 5 weeks old. I totally understand about being constantly hungry! Breastfeeding burns about 300-500 calories a day, so make sure your eating enough. I'm struggling with drinking enough water and making healthy choices. I love sweets and especially yummy coffee drinks. But since…
  • Hi! I'm looking for breastfeeding support too. How are you?
  • I'm 5 ft 3 in, and maintaining my weight at 123 lbs. I like to be between 120 - 125 lbs.
  • I struggle with that too. It's easy to get comfortable and let things slide. I'm trying to maintain my weight and eat healthy. One of my biggest struggles is drinking enough water. Add me as a friend! Support does amazing things to your confidence.
  • I lost 10 lbs this year, just by following my calorie goal everyday and I've exercised only a few times, although I'm trying to workout more often. But it's not a scam and it really does work.
  • I've always hated drinking water and I would go out of my way to drink everything but water. However, lately, I've discovered that fruit really helps me "want" to drink it. So, I like to throw in lemon slices, but you can put all kinds of fruit in it, without all the calories, and even cucumber and mint is good in it.
  • I totally understand!!!! My whole life, I've really hated drinking water, and I would go out of my way to drink everything but water. But I'm really trying this time to change that. It's literally a daily struggle for me. I don't like the taste of it either, and I'm not a fan of mio. But what I've been doing lately that's…
  • Thank you! I appreciate your input and I sent you a friend request. I do like the idea of doing more than one type of workout. A couple years ago, I took a pole fitness class and even got to intermediate and a little advanced moves, but ended up quitting because it got expensive (I was taking it 2-3 times a week). So, I'm…
  • If I already have dinner planned, I will log ahead, and it helps me to think better about lunch and snacks. Sometimes I do it to keep me from forgetting about it later that night. Lol
  • Congrats on your success and hard work! It's awesome to hear how much this site helps people reach their goals. Feel free to add me. I've lost over 10 lbs this year and I'm trying to maintain a healthy weight and eat better. I feel like people forget about supporting and encouraging you once you've reached your goal.
  • I've been off and on with myfitnesspal, used it a lot last summer, but got lazy over the winter. Now, I've been steadily using it starting last month, and I'd like to make more friends, to support each other. Feel free to add me!
