Eggs can be a very simple item to prepare. Scrambled, hard boiled, fried. Eventually move up to omlets. Get yourself a good non-stick pan, not a cheap one. Gradually increase your skills and add items like vegies etc. Cooking can be intimidating, but the rewards are great, much better than frozen micro wave food!

Place in the refridgerator for 3 hours? Why not just take it right to the compost bin and make something useful out of it?::frown:

I agree. Your trying to satisfy your hunger, not his opinion of what you should eat. Take charge of your diet.

Better things to do than argue about diet, work, time etc. Eat what you want, lose what you can. The important thing is to stay the course. If it takes longer than some, so be it. Be honest with yourself and respect others. You can't spend other's money, lose other's weight or live other's live. Peace to all, great site…

I appreciate what you're trying to do, but really, I can prepare this same meal in 1/2 hour and it will be much healthier. If you do some thinking ahead you can even do this in less time. If I don't have a 1/2 hour to spend toward my healthy diet, then I have more issues than just time constraints. This thread will no…

Good idea, sounds like he might be full of something for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:noway:

Why? You could have each one of those things together everyday and still lose weight as long as you were within your calories. Add a vegetable and it is even a healthy meal. Drink 8 glasses of water and you are there.

I've poked a good 7 inches of holes in my belt, but when I look in the mirror or see a recent pic to me I still look huge. Guess I didn't realize how big I really was.:blushing:

Yes I do post ahead of time. Especially on Holidays if I know what the menu is so I can make sure I stay within my daily count.

My X mother in law deep fried her husbands bacon in bacon grease, every morning. The old gent lived well into his 90's.

Can't do it, won't try. Don't understand the attraction/need to do it.

When my son was little I dropped something and it rolled under a chair. My wife was in a panick that I lost it. I was down on my knees looking for it and said to my wife, "don't get so excited, it's not a crisis, I will find it". The next thing I know my son is standing next to me with a flashlight saying "here daddy, find…

It was spring time and my daughter was about 4 years old. The male and female cat were doing their thing and my daughter said "Look dad, kitty's riding back seat and biting."

I hold on because the dang thing scares the crap out of me. When walking on the ground I can stop anytime I want. I can't do that on the treadmill or I will end up through the wall and out in the parking lot, waiting for the ambulance to arrive.

Make sure you take EXACTLY the amount prescribed, on schedule. We aren't exactly sure what happened, but her blood became too thin and she literally bled to death. If you're seeing more than one doctor, make sure they are all up-to-date on what meds you're taking. If you miss a dose, don't double up on the next…

I currently take this drug. If you don't mind my asking, how did it contribute to the death of your loved one?

I currently take Coumadin for A-fib. I have not had any reactions to taking it. As I said I am still on it. My doctor told me A-fib does not go away once it happens. I will never be able to be off of it ( or a type of blood thinner) as blood clots are a concern when the top half of your heart does not pump efficiently. If…

 I am sure that was a "tongue in cheek" comment. Yes, there are a few calories in salad.

Wheat thins-serving size is 16, uh huh.

I am on blood thinner for atrial fibriation so I get that checked every couple of weeks. That's when I weigh in at the nurses station at Kaiser.

Depends on what you are complimenting I imagine. "Nice package" probably would not go over well with certain people.

Good for you. I let everyone know at work that I don't eat that stuff any more and now there is a selection of fruit to choose from as well as the donuts. Most people will understand and if they are getting snacks anyway they will accomodate your needs.

No pics but I have lost a total of 122 Lbs since 8/24/12. Thanks mostly to this site.
