LOL on ILS! I've seen this, too. I agree with all but #3. Here's why: I log my exercise sets/reps on MyFitnessPal on my phone. So, after the first set, I'll type in weight x set x reps, then I'll adjust it by the last set if I change weights or do fewer/more sets.

If you're referring to loose, wrinkly skin, I don't think it goes back without surgery. If you're referring to the odd amount of poofinesd/your original core/waistline, give it a couple more months. My body seemed to "snap back" to very close to its original shape around 12-14 months after having my baby. If you're…

Usually, when I'm craving bread and sugar, it's, because I'm needing quick energy (food=fuel). While it's fine to eat bread, I find that I don't fill up very well on it, without eating large quantities of it. Most of us do very well making sure we have enough protein in our diets. It keeps you full longer. I personally do…

^^This. Nuts are good sources of protein and fats, but high in calories, so I often can't add too much of them into my diet. I might have 2-3 pecan halves in a day, for example, because my calorie budget is pretty low. OP, Nutella is comparable to other commercially branded nut butters. I say, if you like it, and you can…

AA. You need to address the underlying reasons that you binge on alcohol, food, etc.

I know! My husband and I were cringing when we thought Lizzie was going to suffocate Judith. She's definitely unhinged.

I hate cardio, but I've gotten into weightlifting, which I love. It sounds like you might benefit from endurance training with weights. You might check out Starting Strength (a book you can get on Amazon) to start, then check into what routine (Rep/sets) that you need to do to build Stamina. Different Rep ranges are…

Ok, this is what I needed to see. I started lifting weights after Christmas. The scale hasn't budged, but I've lost inches. It's good to see someone else who can say the same thing. Your progress is fabulous!

I quit smoking about 5 or 6 years ago. It only took me 5x, but I finally kicked the habit. Lol! After 3 days, the physical addiction should have subsided. The mental aspect is what's triggering the obsession, now. For this, I would do breathing exercises that mimicked smoking. I even put my fingers to my mouth like I was…

I find that every time I decide to cut something out of my diet completely, I become obsessed with it when I try to add it back into my diet. The best thing I've done to counterbalance this is to have a binge day. A day when I reacquaint myself with the food I cut out, repair my relationship with it, then realize that I…

OP, I started a couple of months, ago, and it wasn't that bad walking in. 1. I read through New Rules of Lifting for Women and Starting Strength (I prefer SS), I watched form videos, and I decided to do a simple 5x5 program (Strong Lifts 5x5) to start, so I only needed to try 3 exercises. 2. I went late at night (around 9…

I work out alone, but I freely talk to whoever I want. I rarely see other ladies in the free weights section. It's kind of nice, for me, because the guys seem impressed that I'm even there, so they're happy to offer advice, etc.
-
^^That's been my experience, too. I've been through 3, and they all think I should be doing something different. At least, the last one would train me on compound lifts, though!!!
-
^^Yup. We married folk are all jealous. Lol!

Here's what Wiki says: "Kosher salt From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Koshering salt, usually referred to as kosher salt in the US, is a variety of edible salt with a much larger grain size than some common table salt. Like common table salt, kosher salt consists of the chemical compound sodium chloride. Unlike some…

Lol! I have no idea on Kosher salt? I just used sea salt.

Oh, yeah...this. I realized that my quads are actually fairly decent from lots of power walking, but I've been using very few posterior muscles and very few upper body muscles (other than lifting my 30# daughter, groceries, that sort of thing). The times that I've failed have been a few reps in and my muscles gave in. All…

Yeah, I'm still getting used to mental strength v. physical strength. Apparently, my mental is overloading my physical, just a tad...nothing serious. Lol! I'm using a spotter or cage from now on!!!
-
lol! I'm glad you got help!
-
Good to note on collars and high reps...Lol! I'll be doing those tomorrow.
-
So, either HS or BB can have their place?
-
Yeah, I totally agree. Bud 55 is no way to enjoy a beer. If I can't enjoy the beer that I want (calories-wise), then I do without.
-
When you run while sobbing, do people look behind you to see if someone's trying to get you? You're right, though, exercise makes me feel a lot better!!!
-
I like where you're going with this, but how does it taste? Life's too short to drink crappy beer. :drinker:
-
^^Yep!!! Good words here!
-
This is such a new concept to me (as all of it is)...I'm all Rain Main, "[The bar definitely needs collars after putting on plates. Definitely. Definitely.]" lol!
-
Tedrickp, did you actually READ the article on the link he/she posted? Lol! I'll check out that link, though. Thanks!!!
-
Omg, do you realize what this means?! Sweet freedom!!! Go forth and live life. There is NO reason to seek out another relationship, right now. Break ups are THE BEST for finding yourself, again...and doing whatever the hell you want to. I know. I've been married, twice (currently married), and I just know that men and…

I'm going to secretly giggle about that one when I see it. Although, I know I've put collars on the 2.5 plates. God, wouldn't want to drop "all that weight." LOL!
-
Oh, wow! That sucks! You weren't able to roll it, either?
