  • I weigh in my underwear and shirt. after evacuating myself. the trick for me is not whether I wear something but to be consistent to remove variables. I don't really care what I weigh specifically. I care how much have I lost. ie progress.
  • that is strange. I try not to eat my workout calories. I wont cry if I go over a little :-) the strange part is I never feel hungry after a workout. ever. in fact I don't want anything to eat after working out. now a few hours later sometimes I get hungry but never super hungry. odd.
  • why peanut butter? you only get 2gb of carbs per 100 calories ? is there other reasons peanut butter is good (I don't much like it but can tolerate it if its that good for me in some way)
  • thank you so much for offering your time and expertise. that truly is very generous of you. and especially helpful to us who lack insurance so we can't consult a doctor. My desire is to maximize my weight loss as quickly as is both possible and "safe" ie I want to push the edge but not cross it. I have tried to learn about…
  • so board consensus. is 2000 cals a day safe? advised? I don't feel hungry on 2000cals a day in fact every now and then I end up under cals (when I eat healthier) if you guys tell me thats ok I will keep doing that. if you say I need more fine if you say I need less fine. I just want to maximize my weight loss. I am sick…

I venture to say this is the logical flaw.…
  • I can prove the OP is correct with simple inarguable anecdotal information. its easy to gain weight and hard to lose weight. period. therefore there is clearly a bodily function at play "sabotaging" our efforts. so we must learn to work WITH those bodily function since we lack the technological ability to alter or effect…
  • ok is there a good url to read up on the ins and outs of this. the program suggests I eat 2930 calories a day to lose 2 pounds a week. thats insane. so I set my goal at 2000 calories. (I am bring brutally honest in my diary so even the bad stuff is recorded :-) what is BMR? how do I figure it out? I thought this was a…
  • hah. I set my goal for 2 pounds a week (low for my goals but it is what it is) and it set my calorie goal at 2930 IIRC I changed it to 2000.
  • I loved doing low carb. I got to eat things I like (eggs fish chicken veggies etc..) and it does work. but the plataeus really suck and last a long time and its an EXPENSIVE way to eat (which is why I had to stop it) now if your physically active YOU MAY have energy problems. I had no energy problems in my day to day…
