Started this morning. It was tough getting up at 5:30 a.m. to run before work. But I did it! Also I just turned 61 this year. Some people have been telling me I'm to old to start running. Any body else starting late in life? I'll be retiring next year and want to be in good health to start the next journey of my life.

I just joined WW last week and will have my first weigh-in tomorrow. I feel excited as I know I have lost some weight. Of course I know the first week is the easiest to lose but I haven't felt hungry doing the points which gives me the confidence that this will work for me. I don't have a lot to lose, about 20 lbs. so I…

Hi Everyone, I just started WW May 3. I am liking it a lot. I started tracking with the points but I want to try the Simply Filling after reading up on it. Is anyone doing the Simply Filling? I have also been logging on both MFP and WW. Mostly to check my calorie count. I hope to eventually not do both.

Feeling the same here. Someone put Girl Scout cookies in the lunchroom! I'm trying to be strong until I can get the heck out of here in just a few minutes. Lol

Fitting comfortably in an airplane seat with room on both sides as well as plenty of room for my legs.

A male co-worker today made a comment to a much younger than me female co-worker (she's about 30, I'm 56) that she should be so lucky to look like me when she is my age. A compliment? I'll take it!!!!!

In a gift exchange at work many years ago, the person who got my name gave me a used brooch. It really wouldn't have been to bad except one of the sets was missing. He tried to tell me it was old & valuable and his wife had found it at an estate sale somewhere. Right! Cheap *kitten*..

I agree. A doctor visiting the medical facility where I work came up to me and told me I had the most beautiful smile. I had never seen him before or since but it makes me smile to this day whenever I think about it. Just a random comment with no underlying motive.

When I get on the floor to do crunches my female corgi comes over and lies down next to me on her back also. It is so cute!!

I have 2 corgis, Max and Emily and a 5lb chihauhau named Chopper.

This could have been written by me, except I'm 56 years old. I have also gone thru menopause without much problem with weight gain. I gained about 20 lbs last December when I surgery on my foot and had to stay off of it for about 4 weeks. No exercise allowed. Once I got the OK from my doctor I started exercising again…

I have to buy scratch off lottery tickets in 3's. Not sure why, it hasn't helped yet. LOL

I recently have finally reached my goal weight which now matches the weight on my drivers license!!

When I was 15 years old my Mom told me go back inside the house and change out of my shorts and "cover those fat legs". I was 5' 8" tall and weighed probably 115 lbs sopping wet. I'm 56 years old now and never forget how that stung.

This is so true... I did RI30 lost inches went from size 14 to 12 but did not lose any weight. People noticed and all thought I had lost weight. After the 30 days I might have lost 3 lbs total but with only 10 lbs left to lose I am very happy with it. I am now on my second week of Charlene Extreme and loving it. Again only…

I also can't eat if I'm emotionally upset. I lost almost 20 lbs when I went through a divorce a few years ago.

I don't drink diet Pepsi but I do drink diet Coke, several or more day. I haven't noticed weight gain from drinking it. Maybe it's not the diet Pepsi so much as it is the food you eat when you eat out. Restaurant food is notorious for having lots of sodium. I ate lunch at Texas Roadhouse today and when I logged my meal it…

I have a male Corgi named Max, a female Corgi named Emily (she is a rescue) and my favorite little one, a 5lb. Chihauhau named Chopper.

30DS is Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. I did the Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 last month and lost 2 inches from my waist. I started the 30 Day Shred last week. I have found that the Ripped in 30 is tougher to do than the 30 Day Shred. I have about 5 lbs left to lose but went from a size 14 to size 12 with no weight loss…

My co-worker told me one of our customers was "checking me out". Woo-Woo, still got it at 56 years old!!

Black dress handsdown!!!! You look fabulous......

I also have this problem. It was really bad when I weighed 283 lbs. I've lost 123 lbs over the last years and it had gotten much better. But I have noticed this past year it has come back with a vengeance. I contribute it to my getting older. I know I will have to visit my doctor soon to find out exactly what is going on…

You look fantastic!! Keep up the good work. You will be at goal in no time Dear.

Turkey bacon..:frown: A couple of people in my office fix it in our office kitchen every single morning. The smell gags me!!!
-
Just read an article that said the bacon shortage was a hoax. And I just bought some pigs!! LOL

I would have to ask the same question. If you can eat enough to gain weight, why can't you eat enough to lose the weight?

When my son had started kindergarten, his teacher was showing them the importance of recycling and being green. So that evening when I told him it was time for his bath he said he couldn't take a bath. When I asked him why not. He replied that he was "biodegradable". I laughed so hard, such a big word for a small guy!!!
