Oikos is as bad as Yoplait. It's just candy. Get Fage if you can.

Get Greek yogurt. Even if you eat the flavored ones you come out ahead as far as healthier.

First, let me say your beautiful insides show in your face. 10 lbs overweight is hardly fat! No one is perfect. Tone yourself up a bit if you feel you need it but I think your fine.

I was kinda chubby but never fat. I had cellulite on my thighs and butt end at 131 lbs. (I'm short) After I lost 15 lbs I noticed mine was gone. That was my experience.

This. Especially in the 3rd to last paragraph. "spoiled brat syndrome" I'm old enough to remember when women could NOT work outside the home, when we had no choice but to have kids or there was something wrong with us, not being able to buy something on credit w/o my husband and having jokes made by the male bank worker…

I consider myself an extremely positive, strong and independent woman. I will not ever, nor do I want to be, a feminist. Although I agree with the basic concepts of feminism (equality) I believe it is, as we practice it today, unhealthy. I reference the OP's quandary. How she can feel conflicted and hypocritical puzzles…

I have no idea what to do about them? These days I just delete them from my friends list. They need professional help and we are just regular folks who are trying to improve ourselves.

I believe in healthy eating but if you feel you an go through the rest of your life w/o a piece of cake I fear your in for quite a letdown at some point :-)

Monsanto has a huge lobby in Washington. They also have lots of money. When I was in nursing school we were taking benign tumors from behind the eye that actually had aspartame in them. It's bad stuff. Eat it and likely nothing will happen to you but it does cause problems.

And 12 pages later it's been complicated again.

I'm very small as well and 1200 to 1300 calories of healthy food a day is perfect for me. However, as an adult, you need that amount of calories. If not, your setting yourself up for health issues. While your young it may not make much difference but abusing your body when your young, in any way, makes a lot of difference…

You don't have to track it or you can just ignore it. I find tracking some things is pointless because it's unrealistic or unreliable. Sugar as an example. As ritchiebull said, sugar is not an issue unless there are health problems. Just eat reasonably healthy and do not add sugar, salt or fats.

This whole "diet" thing is about restricting calories so make the calories in those sweets part of your daily calories. If you want to eat 1000 of your calories in sweets do so. The rest of your daily calories will come from lettuce, veggies and water. One day ever now and again will not hurt you.

I am 5 ft 2, have a small frame and am very active. I'm also post menopausal and 56 years old. I lost 26 lbs on 1200 calories a day. If I eat over 1300 a day I gain weight. Most days I am right around 1200 give or take 100. I also do not eat breakfast. I break all the so called rules and am fine. The point here is if your…

I stopped eating breakfast when I was a small child. I just am not hungry and feel better if I don't.

One binge will not make or break you. Log it, study it, move past it. I scheduled controlled binges once a week to avoid what happened to you. I never ate over my calories but I allowed myself one meal that consisted of sweet and salty junk food. I would get pretty stuffed instead of watching portions and if the food was…

I was very surprised, yes.

A disease process is something that goes wrong with the physical parts of a person. A bad thyroid, for example, is a disease process. A poor lifestyle choice is not a disease.

I'm a southern woman. I can offend you in such a sweet, back handed way you won't know it.
-
I'm offended that other people are offended. Feel free to steal that reason.

All birth control pills cause an increase of blood clots. Lawyers just fixated on Yaz and made it a big mess. Take it if it works because your risks are the same with all hormones.

I wonder myself?

You are NOT entitled to any information about anyone they do not wish to share. If they feel it's none of your business, it isn't.

Ladies, please, do not see this as an abnormal or bad thing! It's all water weight and the increased thickness of endometrial tissue in the uterus. This is not weight gain. This is a normal, physical event. Your body holds water so you don't dehydrate while losing fluids. Isn't our body smart? What we REALLY need to worry…

How about splashing a little bit of water in with less oil to keep things from burning?

I have fitbit and a pedometer on my Droid. I carry it in my pocket all day and just look at it in the evenings. Super easy for me and it does all the work automatically.
