You only have 29lbs to lose? Piece of cake. You will ultimately be responsible for motivating yourself on a daily basis. There are a plethora of tools available out here, however, it's up to you.

MapMyWalk is an app I use on my cell phone. It tracks your walk/run/hike/biking using the GPS capabilities of your phone. Very easy to use and it syncs to MFP.

Plan the work and work the plan, even when (and believe me it will) it turns into a grind. Trust the process and stick to it. Be willing to make adjustments along the way, however, what I have learned is that it's about averages extrapolated over months, not necessarily weekly at times, and certainly not daily. Congrats…

I've incorporated walking into my routine as well, walking 100 miles a month (sometimes more) on average. Congrats to you!

I just tell people who ask, I've lost/losing the old fashioned way. Having said that, my experience is that after having lost over a hundred pounds in 10 months and 30 lbs to goal, most people I know don't say or ask anything about it.

I usually get a good night's rest, however, for me that's 6 to 7 hours. I definitely stay hydrated while exercising, carrying water with me. I'm not a person who is real strict on getting in so many glasses of water a day though. I still like my coffee with cream and sugar in the morning and a diet Pepsi whenever it suits…
