i had my surgery the same time you did, 12/5/12. Highest weight 260, lowest weight 175, goal weight 140 and current weight 190. I am doing damage control, let myself get off track and my carbs went up and up and here I am. Just decided to really get my mind in the game May 1st, I am tracking macros , trying for 1500…

youth is in your favor, genetics play a role but truthfully it is easier to hide loose skin than rolls of fat. No one ever died from loose skin related complications but they sure do from obesity related complications. So I will take my chances with the loose skin

I had the gastric sleeve and my doctor does not require everyone to do a pre-op liquid diet. I assume it depends on your BMI and your liver.

hi, I just had my surgery 12/5. I didn't have a pre-op diet so I did not lose any weight before hand. Looking forward to learning and sharing with everyone.

The only time it is ever ok to discuss weight is if you are sleeping with the person, gave birth to them, or they are paying for your advice as a professional. Of course if they ask for help, insight etc..then it is different. edited to add; I might need to restrict the sleeping with and gave birth to categories :)
