Whew, finally caught up with all the posts  5/04 - 2.6 miles Got up early this morning to run before work. I was hoping it wouldn't be as humid today, but it seems to be sticking around. Last year in May it wasn't humid, but this year it is. We are getting more rain too. Not terrible humidity yet, but enough to feel…

That's what I always thought too. Then I would watch my boss eat the dessert they have at the cafeteria every day at lunch and think to myself "that's totally not fair" as I ate my lunch that I brought from home and tried not to look at the dessert table. Then I really paid attention to what she ate for lunch (in a…

I don't have too much of an issue. Where I work most people eat from the cafeteria and I bring my lunch and eat in the cafeteria with them. So they do sometimes ask me what I'm eating or make comments, but they're good comments - "that looks good" kind of stuff. I do have one friend who is also working on losing weight and…

Does it have to be 11 lbs in 30 days? I'm at a weight that 2.5 lbs/week would be too aggressive for me. But if I can lose 1 lb/week and it's not too late to join, I'm in  If it's too late, then no problem, I'll catch you for June

Me too! I love that I can make 6 servings of steel cut oats in my crock pot and put them in 6 containers for the week and they don't get soggy or anything. I like adding frozen fruit, nuts/seeds, and cinnamon

Hi - if anyone remembers me I was a part of these challenges last fall. Dropped off in the winter (Dec/Jan? don't really remember) because life and work got really busy and I was having trouble keeping up with everyone's posts and I felt badly about it. I did keep running though and did complete my first marathon at the…

Here's to hoping I'll like it or else I'll have 5 servings of something I don't  Week 3: 161.8 Not much of a loss, but every fraction of…

I'm still here! I haven't been great at counting calories and thought I had gained a lb but the last 2 days have been down so now I'm not sure what my body is doing haha

You didn't really answer the first question, so I'll re-word it for improving instead of increasing: How does the diet improve your blood cell count?
-
1. How does the diet increase your blood cell count? 2. How does an increase blood cell count help you lose weight? Not sure I see the connection...

I drink Diet Coke or other drinks like it on a regular basis. I like the bubbles and the taste. It keeps me from drinking things with calories in it so it's definitely helped with my weight loss

I think it's a great idea! I try to do small changes and add something new after a couple of weeks after I make a change. That way I have a couple of weeks to get used to one change before I add another. I sometimes get inpatient and want to add changes more quickly but I'm working on that

I'm sorry to hear about your earlier life and I'm glad to hear that you are on the road to recovery! I wish you nothing but the best. You should talk with your doctor about this since you're a unique situation. One of the things I leaned is that I only need to use soap in the places on the body that have more oil glands -…

I've never seen watermelon radishes - what are those like?

@LadyScorpio67 - thanks! :)

@momto2lovelykids - that's awesome! Those good habits are already paying off. I sometimes do that too - work on my habits and while I still weigh myself I don't get upset if I fluctuate or stall. Those good habits will help in the long run.

*sorry for the long post up front* Hey - I'm starting a little late because I left for vacation on April 1st and got back this past Friday. But I have been weighing myself when I can so I can put in my weight :) I had a great vacation traveling Japan (I live in Japan right now so it's not too much to travel). I had 2…

This might sound a little weird - does anyone have crock pot recipes for breakfast? Like something where I can make 5 servings at once and put them in the fridge for the work week. I live overseas right now, and I've never been able to figure out my stove (neither can my friend - she has a different one) and I don't have…

Thanks. The frustrating thing about it is that I'm more "collateral" damage but I would be the one who gets hurt the worst. It's between these two other women and I got pulled into it by one of them to try to get back at the other. Anyway, I'm trying really hard to get back on track and haven't quite done so yet. But I…

Hopefully I can do this picture thing without it being super huge. Earlier this week at work I realized my belt was a little loose and I had to tighten it

I have the fitbit One and find it very accurate. I log my food on MFP because I like the database here better, but go by what fitbit tells me for how much to eat. I have a tendency to stay the same weight for several days/week and then drop on the scale randomly one day - but my account is synced to Trendweight and I'm…

But by my calculations from my deficit for the week a little over a pound…

Hello everyone. I was really excited when the challenge started and then I dropped off of the MFP boards for the past 5-6 weeks. I stopped logging my food too, which wasn't good. I've still been weighing myself, but I've just been fluctuating 1-2 lbs, not really losing or gaining weight. But I'm going to try to not be hard…

I know this challenge was from a couple of weeks ago but I'm going to do it this week. I've been silent on MFP and haven't been logging my food or anything. I just keep fluctuating that 1 lb and not losing anything - though to be fair to myself I haven't really gained either. I'm trying really hard not to be down on myself…
