I spent most of yesterday traveling back home from a week long training event, so I ended up doing my long run today instead of yesterday. Bad for adding miles to October, but nice for starting out November ;)

@kristinegift - beautiful pictures! I made it to my destination and they do have internet, so I've been keeping up with everyone's posts. Finally got up early enough to go out running around the area near my hotel. I asked the front desk staff and while it's a busy bar scene in this area at night, early in the morning is…

Hope you're not too sore and feel better soon! :) @skippygirlsmom - good luck to Skip! @kareF - awesome race and even more awesome time! Great re-telling of the race too, I felt like I was there

Good luck and have fun to everyone racing this weekend. I'm headed on a trip for a 5 day class next week, so I leave tomorrow on the plane and get back the 31st. I should have internet in the hotel so hopefully I stay up to date on everyone. Not sure how much running I'll get in because I don't know the hours for the class…

It's under the link for Team Monogram. I think it's supposed to be where you can pick your favorite sports team, but it has a blank spot where you put the team name in and I put "Ho Ho Ho" instead. The most awesome part? I got an email saying they noticed I was doing a Christmas theme and did I want to switch my green…

That's what those are? Good to know. I went snorkeling in Guam and saw some but wasn't sure what they were. Got up early did 3 miles of hills this morning. Now my right IT band is irritated - will do some more foam rolling this afternoon after work I went to the headband site that was mentioned here and bought two…

Yes I was - ended up out in Japan last Feb, but before that I was in San Diego. Last year was the second year they did that race, so that means you've been doing it since they started it right? That's pretty neat! I really enjoyed the race. I made the huge mistake of being excited about it being lots of downhills and…

MFP SW: 178 Challenge SW: 165.8 - some is water weight, I was 164 a few days prior Week 1: 163.8 - lost the water weight and maybe a little bit of actual weight Week 2: 163.4 - I am going to try to be better about weighing absolutely everything to make sure I am in a deficit Week 3: 162.2 - Had a woosh :) Week 4: 164.0 -…

Good idea ;) Haha, cute - and true

@kareF - I'm still learning too. I recently learned that after distances >5-6 miles I tend to be not hungry right away but then I go from not hungry to so hungry I'm nauseous in what feels like the blink of an eye. I have decided that for me, though, sushi is my favorite post-long run meal ;) Maybe some of the others will…

@shanaber - I did the Holiday Half last year. It's a nice race! :) @kareF - glad you're feeling better. I've had a couple of episodes of not eating enough after running and it always feels awful! @skippygirlsmom - Being in the Navy I have to suggest Navy as an alternative to AF for Skip ;) If she really wants to travel, my…

Missed out reading the posts yesterday so now I have a bunch to catch up on. Did 8 miles this morning with great weather - watched the sun come up Now back to catching up on everyone's posts! ;)

Today I manged to have Chinese food for dinner and stay within my calorie goal

I like treating it like spaghetti for lunches to take to work. It's nice because the squash doesn't get mushy or stuck together like left over pasta can (and it's lower calorie, win-win! ) Wtg! My first half took me 4.5 hours so I think you're doing great

Pretty dog! My family had whippets growing up - rescued once their racing career was over. Greyhounds and whippets are great pets and they love to run ;)

How did it go? I love spaghetti squash :)

@kristinegift - wow! Great job! And nice pictures @ddmom0811 - Nice job on your HM too! Great time! Hope you're okay :/ 10/3 - 7 miles (ish), GPS quit on me but calculated…

But I am going to try to be better about weighing absolutely…

I was trying to post a picture of my cat, Athena, but every time I try to drag the photo over a little box appears in the bottom left corner of the webpage that says it's not allowed. I've never tried to post pictures before. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

@mwyvr - I felt a little daunted when it was zero. Good thing my first run for Oct was a longer weekend run - made it look farther along ;) Good luck with the BPPV - I don't get it often but when I do I just want to lie down with my eyes closed and not move lol
-
@melaniefave41 - cute dog! he/she(?) looks happy :) @aarar - wow 50 miles! Congrats! Glad the recovery is going well I got what I think was 7 miles in this morning. My GPS program on my phone decided to pause at the 2 mile mark, so I'm not sure exactly. I've done the same route for 6 miles before so I went what I figured…

I'm in for 60

I have a Fitbit One and I love it and have found it to be very accurate as well. Now I just need to log my food accurately... ;)

It was amazing. Think Dutch landscape with tulips and windmills, but in the middle of Japan with kanji written everywhere. The only "ride" per say was the Ferris wheel, but they had different areas with different themes - a shopping area, music area, adventure area with mazes and such, a garden area with the Ferris wheel,…

Here is the crockpot recipe I made - tried it for dinner and it's great. 1 lb chicken breast 1 large or 2 medium pears 8-10 oz mushrooms (the recipe called for portabella but I couldn't find any so I just picked a couple different ones) 0.5 cup Balsamic vinegar Salt and pepper to taste Mix all ingredients in the crockpot…

I'm going to be using my crockpot more often, so if I like any of the recipes I try this week I'll be sure to post them :)

Today I walked 30,000+ steps  Ran in the morning and walked at an amusement park the rest of the day
