To the original poster---clearly she's jealous and hurt. Probably more hurt that she's not strong enough to lose it like you have. Good for you! My advice? Be a great support if she expresses even the slightest interest in making changes herself. If she sees it, she'll likely start supporting you too.

I don't drink, so I'm always the DD. If that makes them sad, so be it. I'm not drinking. I can still have fun, and at the end of the night I'll walk them to their door if they need it. They should thank you.

I heard from someone here the following advice, which I now follow. I weigh myself daily, but I only report loss if it's two days in a row. That way I know I'm not reporting water gain/loss.

My goal is 100 pounds. I started at 305 (308 actually), which is the heaviest I have ever been. My goal is to be at 200 by the end of this year. I can't wait to look and feel better. And actually BE better (healthier).

While you'll find I"m tracking my weight loss and calories burned, I'm not actually doing this for weight. I want to look and feel good. I want my clothes to fit nicely. I want to look like I feel in my head (not chunky, but solid and well proportioned).

You're on the right idea. No, the burger isn't bad. The burger, all the fries, the large soda is heading that way. The burger, fries, soda every other day is bad. Every day is worse. Cut the fries, cut the soda. Your burger isn't that bad at all now.

The way you're describing your child care needs, it sounds like you're single? That would make it very difficult indeed. Do you have any other trying-to-lose-weight buddies you could trade child watching with? You watch in the morning, she/he works out, they watch in the evening/afternoon and you work out? I would agree, swimming, and direction from a physical therapist.

I eat nothing before or during the workout. Only water. I will have some eggs or a protein shake after a workout. On days I don't workout, I eat nothing until lunch.
