I'm 54. Am losing veery slowly, but at least the graph has a downward trend. Sometimes I wonder if the people who seem to fall off the wagon are the ones trying to lose quicker. I'm not working as hard as most at the weight loss. Good luck, You are doing a good thing for yourself.

I'm more of a math/science person. A nurse by trade. I like keeping lists, numbers, and seeing my weight and inches-lost graph keep trending a downward slope. I like the success stories and getting info from forums, unless they turn argumentative. I don't need the friends list because I really don't have time for that. I…

Nice job! Amazing what a difference that amount of weight loss can do to your health.

Wow! Quite noticeable loss already! You are definitely on your way!

I work evenings and stay up late, and some nights. If I have calories left over to use, I'll log them on yesterday's. If not I log them on today's, but keep in mind it cuts into the amount you have for the rest of the day. It all goes into the same week- so I"m not even consistent with how I do it.

Impressive! Way to go!

After 34 years of marriage, we went on our first ever cruise. A Princess Cruise leaving from Seattle, Washington to Alaska and back. We live in the midwest. It was soo awesome, I was so depressed to come back home!

I think you have to take the comments with the intent they were given. Some people may be trying to compliment, but it comes out wrong. Be grateful they are trying to be supportive. Others are trying to hurt or are jealous. Those you can be angry at!

Slow weight loss or no weight loss is still better than weight gain! Enjoy the NSVs-- they can help keep you motivated. Good for you!

Thank you OP. When I started (age 55) last September, I wondered if I was too old to even do this. My weight loss is very slow, so it is easier to sustain. It has been recommended for many years to document your foods for weight control. I guess I never really believed that until now. This site takes it a step further. It…

I agree to getting it checked out!

It's amazing how much difference 30 pounds can make! Good job!

Beets are not "nasty", beets are "awesome"!

Great job! I like your profile picture with the 2 jars. What a great visual reinforcement!

Everyone else is covering the calories and salt angle, so I won't add to that. Maybe you should trust the process and not weight yourself so frequently. You will have so many ups and downs. You will notice the difference over the long haul. I did the same thing when I started, and it drove me crazy! Keep plugging away, but…

Love your profile pic MichelleZanno- your dog looks just like mine. Oh, and keeping with the topic, I'd love to fit into a size 12 jeans someday.

I don't go #2 every day, so I make sure when I do my weekly weight, I weigh on a day I did go__ so it is consistent.
-
I agree with Dakotababy--working that many hours while raising children seems crazy, but may be financially necessary to some. And then getting exercise time in there also? I'm exhausted just reading these posts!

WOW! Your muscle definition is beautiful!
-
I think it's funny how you were overestimating not only one dress size, but two! Way to go!

Great job! What a difference 55 pounds makes!
-
WOW! Very impressive!! Dose it FEEL different after losing that amount? Energy difference or pain difference?
-
Congratulations! Going down 4 sizes probably is quite shocking. I have gone down only one size and have a hard time believing it myself . You deserve some new Jeans!

Weight loss may seem slow, but when you look back a year, it is awesome what you have done. Way to go!
-
It initially takes a significant amount of weight before you can notice, especially for larger people. when you get there, you will suddenly notice and be estatic! Keep up the faith in the method.
-
It took me a couple weeks to figure out how to get below my calorie goal. I still go over frequently, but probably not as bad and as frequently as I did before I started. This weight loss is a result of months of work, not one bad day. Please start again tomorrow and forget about today!
-
WOW! Beautiful pictures--both of them. You can definitely tell the weight loss in your face and body. Nicely done!

If your stats are better, I can't see how your diet is THAT bad for you. I eat out alot, but try for healthier options. One of my concerns is the outrageous sodium content when I don't eat at home. I do agree that the progress may be even more improved if I was a cleaner eater. I'm making one change at a time so I'm more…

I'm suddenly hungry for a 6 piece nuggets and a yogurt parfait!

Sorry, but don't know how to carry over a prior post, but surprisingly enough I do get sarcasm. Thank you Ryandanielle5 for the sarcasm graph on page 4! The problem is, anyone who can't follow the sarcasm thread, probably can't understand the graph. Thanks also to the Sarcasm Society that the graph was borrowed from.…
