THANK YOU! That is one of the most common misconceptions about eggs. Chickens lay eggs whether there's a rooster around or not, so most eggs are not fertilized! And most of the eggs that you buy in store come from chickens that don't even see the light of day, let alone a rooster. My parents have had free-range chickens…

Thanks for the great message! Very well said. I think everyone on MFP should read this! :drinker:

Amazing and incredible job! You look so great! Thank you for sharing your story. These posts really make me realize that I'm not the only one that thinks the way I do. Keep up the great work, and congrats!

Thanks for sharing your inspirational story! You look amazing. Congrats on your success! You give me a lot of hope

This made me cry! I don't want to believe that a mother could be so cruel to her own child, but sadly I have seen and heard too many examples of this. It is for the best that she is not involved in your life right now. Sometimes you just need to cut out the negative influences in life that hold you down and discourage you…

What a beautiful transformation! Amazing job! Thank you for sharing your story

Food is more important for weight loss than exercise. I myself experienced this when I did WW a few years back. I changed my eating habits, but hardly exercised at all. I still lost close to 50 lbs. You can still lose weight if you eat healthy and don't exercise. But like several people mentioned already, if you work out…

I actually read every page in this thread! Congratulations to everyone that posted before and after pics. You truly all look amazing! I am hoping to be in all of your shoes at some point. You definitely give me a lot of hope!

2 1/2 wasted years, close to $10,000 in debt, and a motorcycle that I bought for him. Yeah, I'd like all of those things back now.

Is it weird that I've never even heard of ice cream and Pop tarts as being "a thing" until I've been looking at the message boards on MFP? The closest thing to pop tarts that I can think of would be the Kellogs Special K Pastry Crisps. Those are good. And I suppose you could but some frozen yogurt in between them? Or I…

I think the key thing here is that you've borrowed clothes from each other and exchanged in the past. So it would not be out of the ordinary for you to say, "hey, I'm donating these clothes, but do you want to take a look and see if you want anything first?". Any time I ever donate any clothes to goodwill (whether it's…

The Snickerdoodle ones have been at my store for a while. I hope they continue to carry them because they are my favorite! I also really like the Strawberry shortcake ice cream bars. SO GOOD. My bf even likes to eat them and he's not even much of a dessert person. I just saw for the first time in my store (not sure if they…

Hi! You are getting married on my birthday! That is a great date  I am not getting married yet, but I am in my best friend's wedding 8/2. That is my motivation right now, especially since my friend and her other 3 bridesmaids are all size six and smaller! I definitely don't want to stick out like a sore thumb.…

Thank you so much for sharing your incredibly inspiring story! The difference between the before and after are like night and day! Your story has really touched me, and I'm so glad that you were able to overcome such obstacles in your life. You are a stronger person because of it! I was just wondering what are the main…

Hi! I loved seeing your post, as I am a huge makeup lover. I have been wearing makeup just about every day since I was like 15 or 16. I get complimented quite frequently on my eye makeup especially. I usually tell people that when you've had that much practice at something you're bound to get good (I will be 29 in a few…

BUMP for recipe - sounds good!

What an amazing and inspiring story! Thanks so much for sharing. You look fantastic!

I made a goal of 10,000 steps, but I have only reached it a couple of times. It's difficult when you have a desk job, because I do such little walking at work. Even when I wear it during my regular workout (Curves), I may only get up to about 5 or 6,000 in a day. I did figure out that a mile for me is around 2,750 steps,…

Awesome post! I really enjoyed it. Congrats! :drinker:

Back in 2010, I lost close to 50 lbs. Before that, my mom was always on my case about how I need to lose weight/ she's concerned for my health, etc. When I was down almost 50 lbs (and still overweight by BMI standards), she was always saying that she was worried that I didn't eat enough and that I was starving myself. Then…

That is SO amazing! I would never have even thought that you were the same person if I were to compare your first picture and your last. You are truly an inspiration to me. I am trying to lose about 100 lbs. 24 lbs down so far and I started on 1/2/2013.

What an amazing and truly inspiring story! Your transformation was fantastic. Congratulations and happy birthday!

I have several songs: "Valerie" by Steve Winwood, "Valerie" by Amy Winehouse, and "Valleri" by the Monkees. I love them all and I've always LOVED my name. The Steve Winwood version used to be my ringtone on my old phone. The Amy Winehouse version my mom called me up and left a message with "why don't you come on over,…

What a wonderful story! I really enjoyed reading about your journey. And the pics are proof of your amazing success. I agree with a lot of other posters that you do look much younger now!
