Yes...I live near Huntsville, AL. :)

Hahaha...As SOON as I saw this post, I knew you were from AL. I could tell by the ranch dressing and when you said "love me some". Anyway, try making your own ranch dressing using ranch seasoning packet mixed with plain greek yogurt and a little ff buttermilk. It's good and healthy too.

Stop tracking sugar separately from total carbohydrate. Track your 3 macronutrients (carbs/fat/protein) and your calories (which come from your carbs/pro/fat). Sugar is mearly one of the 2 forms of carbohydrate available in food that provide energy (calories); the other being starch. The body readily and very easily breaks…

No. You will not be able to distinguish the "beer" flavor. It blends very well.

This is absolutely true the large majority of the time (obviously not in all cases). It's known as "intuitive eating".

Yum. Great ideas here. I am a big cabbage fan. I love making white bean keilbasa and cabbage soup, roasted cabbage with garlic and olive oil and Polish cabbage rolls with rice and beef filling and tomato sauce. But, it's also great as a raw salad or on fish tacos.

I don't live in Austin, but I will be down there this weekend and running a saturday evening xmas lights 5k race. I cant wait! I hear it's a great city.

I don't really do New Year's Resolutuions, but I do have some goals and things I plan to accomplish in 2013: 1. Run my first full marathon (registered for New orleans Feb 13') 2. Complete a Half Ironman Triathlon (Oct 2013 Goosepond Island) 3. Take a vacation to a new and exotic location. 4. Maintain my weight in the 120's.

No. It's 120 cals per each (1) Tbs. of olive oil. Oils are fats (in case you weren't sure) and all fats are 9cals per gram.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the institutions of higher learning that I attended, which assisted in the development of my ability to interpret scientific data using deductive reasoning.

Most whey protein powders contain very little to no lactose. They contain very little carbohydrate which is what lactose is (the sugar in cow's milk).

"Floury"??? Potatoes? Flour is a ground up grain...There is no "flour" in them.

This^^ We NEED sodium to live. it is an essential mineral in the body and is therefore available in small amounts in our natural food sources as are all other essential minerals. Celery has a small amount of sodium when you consider a daily intake of about 2000mg, it is a relatively small amount.
-
I make my own by combining glucose and galactose.

Not true. Might want to check with your dr on that. I am a RD and work with OB patients. Sodium restriction is NOT generally recommended during pregnancy.

Might want to check your mailbox later for a dead fish.

Just wondering why you felt the need to emphasize the word "SHE"? Is it because you think it would be hard to believe that a woman ould be your boss or that a woman would drink on the job? Just found that a little peculiar...

Oh..Yes...I am a fan of "good" beer.. It is a requirement in the triathlon community to drink beer. We are quite friendly with a couple of local microbreweries (Blue Pants and Below the Radar) here in Huntsville, AL, but my current favorite is Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout.

Sorry about your mom...That's tough. I spent 9 years working in nursing homes and 10yrs, so far, working in hospitals...Makes you appreciate your health for sure.

We're not talking starvation...Moderate calorie restriction is associated with longevity in several large epidemiological studies. Just sharing an article I found interesting.
