I'm smack dab in the middle of my "normal" bmi, which is 18-25. I'm 22, so I'm fine and dandy with that. This is the first time in many, many years that I can say I'm "normal". LOL!

I'm 5'6 and presently at 137lbs. (I've lost 77 lbs total and in maintenance) Hubby and I were talking the other day and the topic of a perfect weight came up. When I asked him what my perfect weight was, he said, "150." At the time, I just said, "Oh." I'm still not sure what to think. I like me at 137.

Or a can of chili to make your own chili-mac. I think that's the second thing my daughters learned to cook for themselves - after Ramen noodles. lol

A tomato sandwich with white bread and a little Miracle Whip brings back great memories! We ate so many mater sandwiches in so many interesting places. Mom and Dad liked to take us on weekend adventures, but to save money while feeding 5, we'd stop and make sandwiches - at state parks, playgrounds, pretty creeks, by a…

Ground venison makes excellent enchilada casseroles. Also, merlot steak. Also, venison stuffed loins. Also, venison Hungarian goulash! Yum!

GULP! I got my belated Christmas gift- a Garmin Forerunner 25. Now I've got to figure it out!

@MNLittleFinn I will probably have to start out walking before I run again. Gee. That's what I did at the beginning of this year! Of course, I was over 75 pounds heavier then. This should be much easier.

Still in recovery mode. I'm starting to get cabin fever. This is a good sign. Yes?

I looked at the 35s and the 25s. The only ones in my price range and color I can live with are sized large at the moment. I'll wait. There's no hurry. And the way I feel right now, I can't make myself care enough. Being sick sucks!

@Orphia I'll look at them tomorrow.

Stopped to read this thread. Hubby says I can has tracker. Was just looking at a Garmin vivofit. My needs are simple. Opinions?

"I'm not dead yet. " But weak as a kitten. Now I'm dreading the task of starting all over again. Anybody have any good suggestions for resuming their running after being very ill? Not sure I'll be up for it until January something.

Went to visit family and they sent us home with Uncle Cotton's almost famous rum cake! Haven't cut into it yet. I've got flu and p'monia now and can't taste much. The cake is safe from me. For now. And so are the chocolate covered gingerbread cookies my friend gave me. And the chocolate covered coffee beans my other friend…

My husband's aunt and uncle sent along one of his wonderful homemade rum cakes! I guess it's a good thing that I can't taste anything right now! And no strength to burn off the calories. Lol!

Well I'm finished for the year. Felt bad the whole week and finally saw a doctor yesterday. Flu, pneumonia, and a lovely uti to go with it. Congratulations to all y'all hitting your goals and to y'all who are putting one foot in front of the other. You all have been inspirational to me this fall/winter season. I'm hoping…

@fitoverfortymom - I've wondered the same thing? Maybe I should change my play list? (tempo. music. get it? -- ok. my attempt at humor for Monday morning is finished)

Argh. Saturday was a planned rest day (except for doing laundry. No rest, there!) We also had daughter drama. And I found out that evening that a favorite uncle passed away down at the VA hospital. Sunday morning I dragged myself out of bed to take the car-less neighbors to their church services, then attended my own. Got…

@fitoverfortymom. So so proud of you! Great race!

Finally checking in from Friday! Got up a little later yesterday and ran 3 miles. Home, shower, and off to the doctor appointment. He hasn't seen me since January. Boy, was he surprised! This time last year I weighed 215 -now 141. Bmi was 32 - now 22. He took blood to check my med levels, but he was very pleased with…

Yep! That's about right! LOL!

If we saw that outside our window around here, they'd be letting schools out and shutting the city down! Quick! Run to the store and buy milk, bread, and eggs! (am I lying, @skippygirlsmom ?!)

@Azercord Sorry about the injury. Hope it heals quickly! You've had a great year! @Eponine_ cool story! Hope y'all had a great anniversary. (you never came back and gave us details on the special meal so that we could salivate) 3 miles today. The last two days have been especially sluggish. Not sure why. I go to visit the…

3 miles this morning. It's amazing what 24 hours will bring. Yesterday's run saw me in shorts and short sleeves. Today's run involved long pants, long sleeves, a windbreaker, hat and half gloves. Welcome to December in 'Bama.

Just now getting to post: I ran 3 miles this morning and managed to finish before the rain hit my part of the state. (sorry you got a soaking, @skippygirlsmom )

@skippygirlsmom We ran on the trails at Cecil Ashburne somewhere between Huntsville and Hampton Cove. My running friend's name is Susan Woodworth. She ran the Galaxy of Lights 5K, also. She runs in lots of things!

Whew! Just skimmed 150+ posts. Y'all have been busy this weekend! So have I. Got up and met my running friend in Huntsville on Saturday. We hopped into her truck and took off for the local trails. Weather was great, I wore short sleeves and long pants because I was afraid of a fall. The beginning of the trail we…

I'm going to see what I think about trail running tomorrow before I set my month's mile goal.

Adult onset runner here, too. I graduated C25K and ran a turkey trot in 2015. 2016 was horrible and I wound up having major surgery in August. 2017 dawned, I started walking, graduated C25K again, C210K, and ran my first half marathon on my 50th birthday! Wondering what 2018 will hold.
