my maintenance comes in at 1250 per day!!!!! i am 41, 5feet 5 and weigh 8 stone 11. how can i eat only 1250 calories per day????? that is what most folk would consider a strict weight loss diet not maintenance surely?? aaargh

my maintenance daily calories is 1200! if i eat more i will gain. i go to the gym. i have to eat 1000 a day to lose. It is not possible to eat so little and have a life. I like food.I like wine. i cannot eat so little every day! i feel your frustration!

everytime i increase excercise i have that problem too!! if you can feel your muscles aching then they are holding on to water for repair

its really hard - i have to eat only 1150 calories daily to maintain my weight!!!!! been doing that for about a year. On weekdays i eat low - on weekends i eat more. it must balance out.

excellent - be hard on yourself - you will fell really pleased at the end of a day knowing you didnt give in to that choc, or treat. and you wont get that 'oh no' feeling in the morning when you wake up. You have to deprive yourself of the things you want. That is a diet. Its not a barrell of fun but it gets results. If yo uenjoy being overweight then continue to enjoy chocolate. Its a cruel to be kind repsonse I am afraid

remember - weight loss is a cumulitive thing - a blow out doesnt mean it is blown! just get back on it the next day and try to account for your over indulgence by eating less when you feel stronger willed. apparantley it takes 3500 calories to gain one pound.
