But it i am depleting fat stores, surely i dont want to eat these calories back. Say i go for a run, burn 600 calories, 200 are from fat burnt and 400 from what i have eaten that day, surely i want to only eat back the 400?

I know that my body is going to require additionaI fuel for the exercise, but not sure if this needs to be eaten back or whether the body will target fat for this, as there is a lot of talk of being in the "fat burning" zone, this implies the body is using fat for fuel, so surely not all the calories need to be eaten back…

Thank you for all your advice, i have updated my profile to make it visible. I am 27, 5ft 10 and weigh 12'10 with a bodyfat of 26%. I am aiming to lose roughly a stone. I am going to the gym tonight, i have eaten more protein than normal and have slightly increased my calorie intake.

Should i be increasing my calorie intake on the days i do strength training? Or should i leave it a few weeks and see if i get used to it? Sorry about all the newbie questions

Last night i went to the gym about 8, did 45 minute workout (9 exercises 3 sets 8-10 reps) and got home and went to bed around 10, this morning i feel exhausted. Think i may need a rest day
