  • Being a 34F, I can't help a lot from experience as strapless is NOT an option for me. There are options out there if you google "backless bra".
  • Captain and diet, crystal light and vodka, mio and vodka or mio and rum. for a "treat" an almond milk "mudslide" using Davinci kahlua and chocolate flavored syrups mixed with either vodka or white rum. The irish cream syrup in almond milk and vodka works really well.
  • Mmm ice cream! I treated myself to 2 scoops of Ben & Jerry's after last week's 5k walk. I dont think I have ever eaten ice cream so slowly or enjoyed it quite so much! Another 5k walk tomorrow. Wondering what my refeed is going to look like this week.
  • Thank you for the suggestion Kira! I hadn't heard of this one before.

  • I find that when I take a break from keto, I feel bloaty and gross. However, I have not paid attention to if it is after eating only glutenous products.
  • Great job! Your hard work and dedication have paid off :)
  • I eat a ketogenic diet where I keep my net carbs under 20gm a day. Some have great luck still losing weight with 50-100 gms. I typically don't do "refeeds", although, for the purpose of an experiment, I will be starting them, but I have been on a keto diet for almost 10 months and am "fat adapted". In my case, the deep…
  • I have been living a ketogenic life style (typically 35% protein/60% fat/5% carbs, although I am more like 70% fat, 25 % protein) since Sept 14, 2012 and I don't see it as a doom at all! How can I feel doomed when I get to eat things like chicken stuffed with jalapeno cream cheese wrapped in bacon?!? If you are interested…
  • I will be doing my first refeed this weekend. I am doing a "ladies night out" 5k (can't beat a race that ends with flowers, wine, and chocolate!!). I am curious to see what happens.
  • I would like to join if there is still room.
  • There is a difference between ketoacidocis and ketosis. "Ketosis/lipolysis and ketoacidosis are two completely different metabolic processes which share only the same by-product and unfortunately similar names. The state of ketoacidosis is due to wildly high blood sugar and a failed pancreas, whereas ketosis is the result…
  • It tastes like crustless cheesecake. If I am feeling REALLY adventurous, I put a teaspoon of almond butter in the bottom of the cup.
  • I weigh myself every morning, after using the bathroom, before having food or coffee. I record daily, but I am considering changing that since I seem to be a slave to the day to day numbers and fail to see the bigger picture. We are doing a weight loss competition at work right now, and we weigh in weekly. I see my day to…
  • One of my favorites is 2 oz cream cheese, 1 packet of true lime crystals, and sweetener to taste. 198 cals 2 gms carbs 20 gms fat 4 gms of protien
  • I saw this recipe and was curious about it. Guess I know what will be on my next ff menu :)
  • As I have adapted (10 months on keto), I find that the energy spike is slightly less. However, the 3pm "energy wall" is gone. I tend to find that I have more constant energy. I also find that I don't tend to get as ravenous.
  • You look amazing. I have found a far more informative, supportive group of ketoers here than anywhere else. I am learning a lot. I have seriously considered going back to the LF lifestyle I lived years ago when I dropped 90 lbs out of frustration with the lack of weight loss, but I feel so much better on keto. Guess I just…
  • Muscle growth?
  • Thanks for this. I have been hugely frustrated with my stall lately. I love the way being on keto for the past 10 months has made me feel, but like many, I started keto to lose weight, and I haven't really gotten anywhere.
  • A lot of us get our carbs from our leafy green veggies, so we get a good amount of fiber :) I can honestly say I eat more, and a greater variety, of veggies since I went keto in Sept 2012. Before then, you would never catch me eating zucchini, eggplant, brussell sprouts, or avocado. Now, they are kind of staples. For those…
  • A ketogenic diet, under 20 gms of carbs a day, most of which come from veggies. No grains or breads. Added strength training 3-4 days a week and walking at lease 2.5 miles a day above "normal activity" 5 days a week.
  • If only McD's did! Both McD's and Dunks coffees register carbs. That was an "on the road" drink, I would have preferred to make my own.
  • 84 miles mtd :)
  • About 13 years ago, I lost 70 lbs using light hand weights (ie. 3/5/8 lbs) using a few different books by Joyce Vedral and changing my diet. (Bathing suit Workout, Definition, Fat Burning Workout, and Bottoms Up) She has some videos on the market, but I personally preferred her books. Think of it this way, if a 60 year old…
  • I see a lot of processed foods in your diet, and a lot of sugar laden drinks (6 packets of sugar in your coffee, kool-aid). I would suggest trying to cut back on the sugar going into your coffee (when I cut back on sweeteners, I cut back by one unit for a few weeks, then down another.) I would suggest you try adding in…
  • Photo shoot for hubs, and actually wear a bathing suit without a cover up at our friends' :)
  • A Keto treat to be sure!
