Persistence pays!

Having to repeat the same week so many times without improvement in breathe sounds very frustrating. You could try doing yoga on days you don't run. It will teach you to breathe easier and literally expand your lung capacity. Also, you could try focusing on something other than your breathing while running. I would suggest…

Hi Yogibella, Yes, the GPS has been off on mine as well. One time it was significantly (several miles) off after a recent update they made to the software. When I look at the actual track on the map, I figure it is underestimating my distance. MFP only looks at the time to calculate calories burned and Endomondo is at…

Way to go. Keep up the good work!

The run with your sister and the runs without the C25K application may have contributed to overtraining. Running will make your bones stronger. Looking forward to your return on the C25K path.

Endomondo is a great app that I have been using now for a few months, but it seems to over calculate the number of calories burned compared to the results MFP figures. Were you able to use Endomondo on your C25K runs, or did you use the C25K app?

I'm not sure if you're running on a treadmill inside, or if you enjoy your runs outdoors. If you do run outside, it is easier to ignore the little aches and pains by FOCUSING on ANYTHING other than the running. It can be a bird perched on a wire, the wind blowing across your skin's surface, the person walking their dog,…

Great progress! Keep it up and you'll TOAST everyone. :drinker:

Best of luck! No doubt your excitement will carry over into a strong finish.

Be careful pushing yourself too hard on W8D2 because you don't want to risk injuring yourself and therefore be unable to even participate in the race your employer so generously let you have off. Just give it a sincere and honest effort and you will finish the 5K without any problems. Let us know how it goes.

It is my understanding a person can run with a head cold, but not a chest cold. If you're coughing a lot with the cold, it isn't a good idea to run. Otherwise, you can do it! You might even clear up the head cold faster. I don't know about allergies because I am fortunate to have never suffered from them like others I know.

Not only will water help, but fluids with electrolytes in it will help prevent cramping. One of the best would be coconut water without any added sugars. It isn't as good as the fresh juice they have in Southeast Asia, but it taste better than gatorade.

What a difference a little water makes! Instead of dreading your next run, try eagerly anticipating successfully completing it without any trouble. It might just come true!
