  • If you have a lot of weight to lose, its like taking sheets off of a roll of paper towel. If you take a few sheets off of a full roll, you dont really notice, but once you get to the end, you can tell. Dont let it discourage you! Keep moving forward and do it for YOU!
  • Im looking to lose about 100 pounds. You can certainly add me! :)

  • Ask him to make healthier foods more frequently. I'm sure he can whip up some amazing low-cal/fat foods for you! :) Otherwise, load up on the veggies (salads, etc) to compensate if theres something in particular that you must just have. Also, hit the gym a bit harder to "deserve" the good meals, and if he plans meals in…
  • I'm in the same boat! I guess my advice is to work on the diet and exersize first, and let the smoking follow. Try smoking a cigarette or two less every week, and in the meantime, give the diet and excersize your main focus...hopefully soon after you will feel healthier and happier and be ready to quit smoking! Its working…
  • Try drinking some water, or chew some of that desert gum (I cant remember the brand, but the mint chocolate chip gum is amazing!) Tell yourself that you will not eat in front of the TV or computer (easier said than done) to try to nix the mindless eating. And if you are bored, try and find something productive to do. Go…
  • This morning it said I had burned 835 calories doing 60 minutes of walking, though I did do some running to keep my heart rate up. It also states that i burn about 650 calories doing 45 minutes of Tae Bo and such.
  • A handful of M&Ms, chocolate chips, raisins, or nuts added to popcorn also helps, and makes it more of a tasty and healthy trail mix if combined...just dont add too much :D
  • I requested you :) I could always use more friends too! Its a lot easier with the extra nudge from others!!
  • l would love to join. I have about 65 pounds to lose, and I keep falling off the wagon! The support would be awesome!
  • wow, that is awesome..just checked it out. I think Im going to start leaving post it notes at local businesses now too :D Thanks for sharing!!
  • Hey, I struggle with night shift too. I guess the only advice I have that has helped me is to eat smaller meals and more frequently. That and time what you eat at certain times. Heavier meals and carbs after waking up/before going into work. Protein after physical activity, and healthy and low/no sugar before bed. Hope it…
  • I voted just in the nick of time....Good Luck to you!!! :flowerforyou:
  • I have a MIO Drive that I got on amazon for about $50, nearly half than what you pay in stores. it has a watch, calorie burn counter per workout, total calorie burn, timer (including interval timer), and my favorite feature is the 3500 calorie countdown, which tracks all the calories you burn until you hit the 1 pound…
  • oh I so know how you feel, in fact, im in a similar situation. It can be hard. I guess the best advice I can offer you is to keep your food as seperate as possible from your roomates, preferably so you dont even need to glance at the junk food to get to yours. If possible, try to eat at different times than them, or maybe…
  • you can never go wrong with a fruit and veggie tray! I also agree with the popcorn too, maybe add in a little bit of seasoning. And goldfish crackers always work for a kids party, theres more than 2 of those for a serving size!
  • I dont have allergies, so I guess I cant really understand what its like, but one of my friends have tried some saline nasal spray, even from the dollar store. Good Luck, and if it gets really bad, there will always be other races...you'll blow 'em away!
  • I used to take them, and they seemed to have worked, unless it was more of a placebo effect. Im starting them again this week.
  • I too work the night shift and do P90X, but I have never really followed the nutrition plan that well. My guess would be just to have it be the same as you would a regular day but so that "breakfast" is when you wake up, and "supper" would be closer to the time you go to bed. I try to eat my carbs in the morning so I can…
  • Im getting my hair done in a few days to celebrate being able to stick to it. I've been saving $5 a check minimum into a secret "reward stash" that I will take shopping once I get to my goal weight. Im also going to get a tattoo on my hips too
  • there is a lean cuisine panini I really like. I think it is spinach and artichoke chicken, and it is the ONLY frozen dinner I eat. I was really starting to get disgusted with the rubbery chicken and the strange consistancy of a lot of food from those frozen dinners, but the paninis are awesome!!
  • I just bout a MIO drive. They're about a hundred bucks (or more) in stores, but I got mine from amazon.com for $55.00. It has interval, timing, calorie burning features, as well as a 3500 cal countdown to show you when you have lost a full pound. Im glad I bought it, and recommend it to everyone. Good luck!
  • I love this poem! My anatomy and physiology professor ended the semester with that last year. It really is inspirational. Thanks for sharing!
  • I know how you feel. Yesterday, I ate dairy queen because they have a "buy one get one for a quarter" deal. I ate the whole thing. It was a small size, but i felt so horrible afterwards. You gota remember that minor set backs dont bust your efforts completely. Just move on
  • Where do you live? Eau Claire, WI Married/Single/Divorced/Dating? dating Kids? nope Occupation? Residential Treatment Worker
  • I drink Lipton, atleast I believe thats what it is. They have green tea with citrus and raspberry, and they have it in diet. It tastes great! Arizona green tea is great too. You can get that in large cans and glass bottles for as little as 89 cents at a grocery store or a Walgreens, that way you can try the different…
